Do NOT Be Deceived!

According to the Bible, to enter the kingdom

of God after getting "born again" you MUST:

Go through many hardships (Acts 14:22).

Bear good fruit or get thrown into the fire (Jn. 15:6; Mt. 7:19; 3:10).

Sow to please the Spirit to reap eternal life (Gal. 6:8).

Stand firm through hatred to the end to be saved (Mt. 10:22).

Do what is right to be righteous (1 Jn. 3:7,8).

By the Spirit put to death the misdeeds of the body to live (Rom. 8:13b).

Persist in doing good so that God will give you eternal life (Rom. 2:7).

Live holy or the second death will have power over you (Heb. 12:14; Rev. 20:6).

Forgive others who sin against you so that your sins can be forgiven (Mt. 6:14,15) and so you won't be accountable once again for your previously forgiven sins (Mt. 18:21-35).

Continue to believe on Jesus so that you will live and never die (Jn. 11:25,26).

Continue in the teaching of Christ or be without God and eternal life (2 Jn. 9; 1 Jn. 2:24,25).

Hold firmly to the word Paul preached so that your believing is not in vain (1 Cor. 15:2).

Keep yourself from idols (1 Jn. 5:21), for all idolaters will be thrown into the lake of fire (Rev. 21:8).

Hold firmly till the end the confidence you had at first to share in Christ (Heb. 3:14).

Remain faithful to God to the very end so you won't be hurt by the lake of fire (Rev. 2:10, 11 cf. 21:8).

Continue to do the will of the Heavenly Father to live forever (Mt. 7:21; 1 Jn. 2:17).

Love God for the kingdom of God has been prepared for all who do (1 Cor. 2:9; James 2:5).

Hold on to your courage and the hope of which you boast to remain God's house (Heb. 3:6).

Hate your life in this world to keep it for eternal life (Jn. 12:25).

Keep making an agonizing effort to enter God's kingdom doors for many who try will not enter (Lk.13:23,24).

Hold on to faith and a good conscience to prevent shipwrecking your faith (1 Tim. 1:19).

Keep yourself pure (1 Tim. 5:22) for the pure in heart will see God (Mt. 5:8).

Be an overcomer and faithful follower to escape the lake of fire (Rev. 21:7,8; 2:10,11; 17:14).

Have your mind set on what the Spirit desires to live in accord with the Spirit (Rom. 8:5).

Continue in God's kindness and faith or get cut off like the Jews (Rom. 11:19-23).

Be afraid (and not arrogant) of getting cut off like the Jews (Rom. 11:20).

Discipline your body and make it your slave so you won't become disqualified (1 Cor. 9:27).

Keep a tight reign on your tongue or your religion is worthless (James 1:26).

If you are one of the few to escape Hell
and enter the Kingdom of God,
it will be because you are trusting
in and faithfully following JESUS.

Do NOT Be Deceived!

According to the Bible, to enter the kingdom

of God after getting "born again" you MUST NOT:

Disown Christ or he will disown you (Mt. 10:33).

Live according to the sinful nature or you will die spiritually (Rom. 8:13).

Reject God by living an unholy life (1 Thess. 4:7,8).

Defile your temple or God will destroy you (1 Cor. 3:17).

Wander from the truth and remain unrepentant (James 5:19,20).

Save your life or you will lose it (Mt. 16:25,26 cf. Mt. 10:28; Rev. 12:11).

Become lukewarm and remain lukewarm or you'll get spewed out of the body of Christ (Rev. 3:15,16).

Hide your talent so you won't be thrown outside into the darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Mt. 25:24-30).

Believe for a while and in time of testing "fall away" (Lk. 8:13 cf. Mt. 13:21).

Sow to please the sinful nature for those who do will reap destruction (Gal. 6:8).

Live according to the acts of the sinful nature or you will not inherit the kingdom of God (Gal. 5:19-21).

Depart from the Father to a life of unrestrained sinning or you will become spiritually dead and lost (Lk. 15:24,32).

Become a drunkard, sexually immoral, greedy, a liar, etc., which will cause you to not inherit the kingdom of God but instead end up in the lake of fire (1 Cor. 6:9,10; Gal. 5:19-21; Eph. 5:5-7; Rev. 21:8; 22:15; Mk. 7:20-23).

Worship the beast, his image or receive his mark, because all who do will be tormented forever with burning sulfur (Rev. 14:9-12).

Take words away from this book of prophecy and have God take from you your share in the tree of life and the holy city (Rev. 22:19).

Preach a false gospel and become eternally condemned (Gal. 1:8,9).

Soil your spiritual clothes and stay that way or you will be unworthy to be with Jesus (Rev. 3:2-5).

Forsake Jesus and God as your first love and remain unrepentant or forfeit your right to the tree of life in the paradise of God (Rev. 2:4-7).

Choose to be a friend of this world or you will become an enemy of God (James 4:4).

Look back now that you have put your hand to the plow or you won't be fit for God's kingdom (Lk. 9:62).

Become impure, shameful or deceitful or you will not enter New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:27).

Fall from grace or Christ will be of no benefit to you (Gal. 5:4).

Be overcome by evil but instead overcome evil with good (Rom. 12:21).

Forsake God or he'll forsake you and you'll perish (2 Chron. 15:2; Isa. 1:28).

Turn to crooked ways and get banished with evildoers (Psa. 125:5).

Stray from the path of understanding and come to rest with the spiritually dead (Pr. 21:16).

Turn from your righteousness and do evil or you will die spiritually (Ezek. 3:20; 18:24; 33:18; Rom. 8:13).

Think you are standing firm or you will fall (1 Cor. 10:12 cf. 2 Pet. 1:5-10).

If you are a backslider, repent
and come back to God to serve Him to
reverse your spiritually dead and lost condition.

GIVING THANKS TO GOD IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES

When traumatic events; death of a loved one,  a serious accident causing severe injury and/or disability to a loved one or yourself,  a major illness such as cancer, prolonged unemployment causing a financial crisis; happen in your life, it can be very easy to become bitter or pessimistic, and even severely depressed.  Life can just be so overwhelming sometimes.  We may feel like we have the weight of the whole world on us.  And we wonder why does it have to be this way.

We can turn to the Bible for our answer.

1 Peter 1: 3-8  3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  4to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

6In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed  by various trials, 7so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 8and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now,  but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

Jesus tells us in John 14:1 to not let our hearts be troubled. We are to believe in God, believe in Jesus.  We should trust Them to know what is best for us even if we may not understand at the time.

Isaiah 55:8-9  8For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the Lord.  9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.

I Thessalonians 5:18  Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Take it one day at a time and trust in God, thanking God always for He knows best.

I thank God for hearing my cries so long ago after the death of my son, when it seemed like I had nothing else to live for.   I thank God for turning my life around, taking me from a person with no hope who felt like she was just wasting earth's precious air and water, to someone with a life to share.  I thank God for leading me to a church that welcomed me with open arms, for my wonderful family and friends in my life outside of Myspace and all of my wonderful family and friends that I have found on Myspace. I thank God for giving me His precious Son, Jesus the Christ, who died so that I may live.

I THANK GOD FOR GIVING ME LIFE!

YOU HAVE 2 KINDS OF CHRISTIANS TODAY,

#1 YOU HAVE YOUR SPIRITUAL CHRISTIANS THAT ARE (FULLY COMMITTED,THAT TRUELY LOVE GOD THRU OBEDIENCE,THAT ARE REPENTIVE,THAT ARE GOOD HEARTED AND LOVING,THAT APPLY THE BIBLICAL PRINCIPALS TO THERE LIVES,THAT ARE REAL GOD CHASERS,THAT ARE TIME GIVERS TO THE LORD)(THIS IS A REAL CHRISTIAN)

#2 AND THEN YOU HAVE YOUR CARNAL CHRISTIANS THAT ARE (NOT COMMITTED,WORLDLY,FLESHY,PREDJUDICE,HATEFUL,UNFORGIVING,BACKBITTING,FORNICATORS,ONLY CHURCH GOERS AND NOT NOT DOERS OF THE WORD OF GOD ,AND ETC........ YOU KNOW PEOPLE THAT JUST DONT WANT TO DO RIGHT BUT THAT ARE STILL IN THE GRACES OF GOD !!!!!!!THIS IS A CARNAL CHRISTIAN)

COME ON PEOPLE WE HAVE TO DO WHATS RIGHT, BECAUSE IF WE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD THEN WHAT HOPE DO WE GIVE THE NONE-BELIEVERS? FOR IF THEY ARE LOOKING TO THE LIGHT WHICH ARE THE CHRISTIANS THEN BY US LIVING LIKE THE WORLD WE ONLY LEAD THEM BACK UNTO DARKNESS,AND THIS IS NOT OF GOD!!!!!!

WHEN YOU GAVE YOUR LIVES TO CHRIST,THEN THIS MEANS THAT YOU ARE NO LONGER YOUR OWN, BUT YOU BELONG TO CHRIST AND YOU MUST DO AS HE HAS COMMANDED US TO DO !!!!!!WE CAN NOT AND SHOULD NOT BE DOING WHAT WE WANT TO DO,FOR WE ARE TO LEAD BY EXAMPLE!!!!!!!!!!

CHRISTIANS PLEASE IN THE NAME OF JESUS LETS STOP BEING DISRESPECTFUL TO THE LORD,HE HAS DONE TOO MUCH FOR US TO NOT SHARE AND SHOW THE LOVE BACK!!!! WE MUST COME TOGETHER AND STOP BEING CARNAL AND BECOME SPIRITUAL IN THE NAME OF JESUS , AMEN !!!!!!!!!!!!

31 December, 196931 December, 1969 4 comments Is the trinity Biblical? Is the trinity Biblical?

If there be "three Divine Persons",then which part of the divine nature lives in two of them, since the 1978 Good News Bible reads:"For the full content of divine nature lives in Christ, in His humanity." (Colossians 2:9). The King James Bible reads: For in Him dwelletth all the fullnes of the Godhead bodily." If there be "three Divine Persons", then why our Old TestamentGod said: "...I Am the first, and I Am the last; and beside Me there is no God..."(Isaiah 44:6-8) If there be "three Divine Persons", then which of them is more powerful, since it is written: ..."The Lord appeared to Abram, and said to him, I Am the Almighty God..."(Gen. 17:1). This was referringto our Old Testament Lord, as well as Revelation 1:8 says: "I Am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." This is referring to our Lord Jesus Christ(which is to come). If there be "three Divine Persons", then who raised Jesus Christ after three days of His death, for it was said by Jesus Himself: "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up... But He spoke of the temple of His body." (John 2:19-21)
If there be "three Divine Persons", then how comes there is only one throne in heaven, as stated by Isaiah 6:1: "...I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne..." and Revelation 4:2 repeats "...and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne." If there be "three Divine Persons", then it should be questionable whether you think that the Spirit dwelling in the Father and the Son, is not the same Holy Spirit dwelling in the believer. Please take into consideration the following: "...And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." (Gen. 1:2). "There is one body, and one Spirit..."(Eph. 4:4). "But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is lifebecause of righteousness." (Romans 8:9-10).
If there be "three Divine Persons", then who is the King in the heavenly kingdom, since every kingdom must have one King. Please take note: "For the Lord is a great God (our Old Testament God) and a great King above all gods." (psalm 95:3). And it is also written about Christ: "And He has on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords." (Rev. 19:16). We also read: "One Lord, one faith, one baptism." (Eph. 4:5). If there be "three Divine Persons", then who will be coming: "...And the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with Him." (Zechariah 14:5). "...at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints." (1Thessalonians 3:13). Jesus Christ said: "I Am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." (Rev. 1:8). If there be "three Divine Persons", then who will be judging us... "For the Lord is our judge..." (Isaiah 33:22). And... "For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ..." (2Cor. 5:10). If there be "three Divine Persons", then how come is it that all three of them have the same name? Jesus Christ said when praying to His Father: "...I have manifested Your name unto the men..." (John 17:5-6) And He reapeats: "O righteous Father... And I have declared unto them Your name..." (John 17:25-26). As we all know, the unique name that was manifested by our Lord Jesus unto men, was His Own Name: Jesus Christ. Thus, we see that the Father`s name is Jesus. The name of the sone is also Jesus: "And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins." And the name of the Hloy Spirit is Jesus as well: "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will sendin My name, He shall teach you all things..." Jesus stated it. (John 14:26). "And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:11). "Now the Lord is that Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty." (2Cor. 3:17). If there be "three Divine Persons", and they all have different names, then which is the name you are giving the Father and to the Holy Spirit, since the name of Jesus is above every name(Ph.2:9) and not only in this world, but also in that which is to come(Eph. 1:21). Paul said that whatever we do in word or deed, we should do allin the name of the Lord Jesus.(Col. 3:17). Petter said: "Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."(Acts 4:12). There is a manifestation of God as the Father in the creation, as Son in redemption, and as Holy Spirit in the believer`s heart; however, lets face the truth: There are not three persons (the Holy Spirit is Spirit and cannot be a person), and there are not three gods, but three manifestation of God, since God is One: "And Jesus answered him: The first of all commandments is, Hear, O Israel, The Lord Our God Is One Lord."(Mark 12:29; Det. 6:4). And One is His Name: Jesus Christ

31 December, 196931 December, 1969 4 comments Signs from After Life Signs from After Life

For anyone who believes or not believes in signs from the after life we have something we have kept to ourselves for almost 3 years. Please do not copy this and republish in any way without consent of my wife Peg. This is something very special to her and she only wants to share it with our viewers. You can copy the link and send it to who ever you would like and they can view it here but only here. Thanks Gary and Peg

My wife Peg and her Mom were very very close.  Peg's Mom was going through a rough time surviving breast cancer, yet suffering from diabetes and kidney failure. She was on a kidney transplant list waiting for a new kidney and joked all the time if something happens to her she will send us a sign to let us know she is ok. She unexpectedly passed away at age 66 from a massive heart attack almost 3 years ago. When she passed we had two funerals for her, the first being at a little church in a small Northern town. It was a sunny day the day of her funeral with a few clouds in the sky. We had the first funeral at 11am in August. Peg's brother was taking pictures on his cell phone during and after the funeral.

Then about a month later we got a call from him saying we have to see one of the pictures on his phone he couldn't believe what he saw and didn't want to explain, he wanted to hear what we thought of it first. We had him send the picture to us via email so we could view it on the computer. To our surprise it was a picture he took of the outside of the church following the funeral. The thing that we can't explain is the picture looks like it is night and it is the only picture of the many he took that turned out this dark. To the right of the steeple you see a heart that is leaning to the left. If you blow this picture up it becomes distorted because of the pixel from it being a cell phone, but you can see a red spot in the heart on the left side. To this day we cannot explain how the picture turned out like it did but we feel that it was a sign from her because she died of a massive heart attack from a blood clot to her heart.

Here is the actual picture taken that day.

Peg's Mom's church Picture

Please leave Peg a comment this picture means alot to her.

Thanks for looking! God Bless Gary & Peg

Please share this with all your friends.

31 December, 196931 December, 1969 3 comments Testimonies Testimonies

In a lot of ways, I was not like other children. I didn't always dress like them, talk like them, act like them. I was kind of a weird kid. When I was 11, my parents told my sister and I that my dad had taken a new job and we would be moving to a town two hours away. My sister was devestated but I was excited. Even at 11 years old, I was already looking for a chance to start over - to be whoever I wanted to be.

My dad had to move to start work before my mom could move up with my sister and I. We had to wait for our house to sell before we could buy another one, so for a few months we only saw my dad on the weekends. One weekend I got to go and spend time with him by myself Friday and Saturday, and then my mom and sister came up with us to visit a church for the first time on Sunday. I went to the 6th grade Sunday school class - an ugly green room, in an ugly green hallway - and suddenly felt very small and awkward, out of place and very alone. One of the Sunday school teachers started joking around with me, very much the way my dad always did, and I eased up immediately and joked back with him. It made what would have been an otherwise uncomfortable day, a memorable and meaningful one. My parents met him later on - he worked at the bank and they talked with him in preparation for buying a house. He asked if they were my parents and told them about that day in Sunday school.

I was only in the 6th grade Sunday school class for a couple of months after moving, before "graduating" to the 7th grade class, but I never forgot that first day. When I was in the 8th grade or so, I sent Brent (the teacher) a letter, thanking him for making that first day so much fun and so much easier for me. I didn't think much of it, I just wanted him to know.

Shortly after that, I was trying to get in touch with his son (who I thought was really cute), but sent the e-mail to Brent by mistake. This is the reply I received:

"Dear Anne,
I have forwarded your message, unread, to Nathan. By the way, I've been meaning to write you anyhow, so now that I'm here I may as well proceed as planned. I very much appreciate your recent letter to me. For several reasons:
1. Most folks rarely take time to be truly appreciative.
2. Most kids are worse.
3. I had been asked to help teach in the Jr High department and I was searching for the answer: go or stay?
While I have, in the past, fancied myself as somewhat of a capable teacher, I have found my role in the 6th grade to be that of the "warmer-upper." Most 6th graders think they're too old to play, but they're really too young to be "cool." So they just sit there like bumps on logs, don't participate, don't learn, don't sing, and don't like it. I've seen that, more than anything, if I can just get them to warm up, lighten up, enjoy themselves and the program... maybe they'll be back. And maybe they'll hear something that will matter sometime.
Especially new kids. They're intimidated. They're "out of place." They don't fit in yet. So it's my job to make them know I'm glad they're there. Because I really am.
With you, it was easy. Your self-confidence, knowledge and lack of being intimidated helped you just step right in... answer questions.. sing songs.. "hit me back".. And it was fun for me the first day you came in. I mentioned that to your folks when I met them later at the bank.
So please know that I appreciate your letter very much. And I appreciate YOU even more. You're a really neat girl.
By the way, I'm staying. See, I studied a course called "Experiencing God." That man (Blackaby) says that we can learn God's will through (1) prayer (2) reading the scriptures (3) the body of believers and (4) circumstances. You, as a Christian sister, are a part of the body of believers. I know, without a doubt, that the Lord held you up, then spurred you on to write that letter AT JUST THAT RIGHT TIME. The time I needed His guidance.
I really believe that.
So there you have it. Fourteen years old and already being used by God. Pretty awesome, no?
Better go. I'm just home for lunch. Call or write or whatever if you want/need to visit. You're really special."

I visited with his wife once, and she told me that he kept my letter by his chair. Occasionally, it would get buried under magazines or books, but it would always find its way back to the top again.

I wasn't thinking when I sent him my letter... I just wanted to thank someone for doing me a service. I had no idea I was making a difference.

It's easy to thank someone who does a big thing for you. It's easy to thank the person who gives you money when you're out of it. It's easy to thank the doctor who performs a successful surgery on a loved one. It's not so easy to thank people for the little things. When was the last time you thanked someone for something small? A little gratitude goes a long way. I saw this again firsthand with my last minister... he was our interim for a year. The pastor before him was cold, closed off and impersonal. Then Mark came in, bringing with him an attitude of gratitude. He thanked people for little things... he thanked people for being on the prayer group that meets to pray for members of the church every week... he thanked the groundskeeper... he thanked anyone who did even the smallest thing. The amazing thing is how contagious it is. Suddenly, people were thanking each other. A breath of appreciation swept through the congregation. And I pray that it always stays.

Gary, thank you for creating AgapeJesus. I've made some wonderful friends here. I hope AJ is always part of my life.

To all you AJers... thank you for being a part of my life - which you are, even though we've never met face to face. You are my brothers and sisters in Christ, and I love you. Thank you for making me smile, making me think, and letting me sing from time to time.

Thank you.

My sister sent me a picture of a bill board she saw along Hwy 5 in Southern California.  It said "Congress Created Dust Bowl."  I guess that farmers there are unable to get water to water their crops...  Doesn't most of our produce come from California?

Read more about the Congress Created Dust Bowl.

Many speak to God on occasion, but have never gotten the connection. It is the same as building a new house, putting phone jacks in each room along with phones and then speaking into the phones without ever having called the phone company for a service connection. You say: "What, I've never heard that I need a connection to God." Well, God wants you to know that you need a connection.

We are all born into the human race, but we are not born into the family of God.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, even to those who believe in His name. John 1:12

God made man with a free will. You have the right to choose God or to not choose Him. God wants a people that want Him. Would you want to be friends with someone who doesn't really want to hang out with you? King David in the bible says:

O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him. Psalm 34:8

It is not enough to believe in God. The bible says that the devils believe, however they do not walk with God. The bible also shares with us that many of the religious leaders of Jesus' day knew that Jesus was the Son of God, however, they did not receive Him for fear of losing their standing in the church.

If your daddy is Donald Trump, you know that you have certain privileges, rights, and benefits. If you are a stranger, we know that you can't go up to Donald Trump and ask to use the jet for the evening. God has promises and benefits that come to His children, but we first must come to Him and become His child. He has provided a way for your adoption.

His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure. Ephesians 1:5

When we receive God, we must do it His way, the legal way that has been provided for us. You may think that there are many ways to God, but consider what God's word says regarding the way:

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

Again Jesus said: Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. Wherever they go, they will find green pastures. John 10:9

NOTICE
There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
Proverbs 14:12

God's Kingdom is referred to as the Kingdom of Light. If you walk in Light you can see, you have enlightenment, understanding, and truth. In darkness we are blinded and can not see and can not find our way. Without sight the path can not be seen and we can easily be deceived. God desires for your eyes to be opened to His ways for they are truth and they bring life and life eternal.

Jesus spoke saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." John 8:12

How Do We Receive God's Way?

By verbally receiving Jesus as our Lord. It is through Jesus that we can be forgiven of our sins which separate us from God. For God is holy and we too must be holy and we are not capable on our own. Jesus lived the perfect, sinless life and became the payment for our sins, so that we could
receive His righteousness (right standing) with God by accepting Him as our Lord.

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10

Sample Prayer:
Dear Father God,
I believe that Jesus is your son. I believe He died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin now and ask you to forgive me. I ask Jesus to be my Savior and the Lord of my life. I desire to be your child and I ask that you would help me to walk with you and learn your ways. Because I have believed and received I thank you that I am your child. I thank you for saving me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

If any man be in Christ he or she is a new creation; old things have passed away, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

You have been given an awesome new spirit which connects you to God. God desires to have fellowship with you, and what a privilege to be able to come to Him daily.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 And the Word became flesh.. John 1:14

Jesus is the Word of God so it is through Jesus, God's Word that we find truth and when we learn to walk in that truth we receive His blessings.

Welcome to the Family of God

To walk with God your Father you should:
- Read God's Word Daily
To know Him and learn how to obtain His blessings.
(It is best to start in the New Testament.. the book of John)
- Talk with God in prayer every day.
- Tell Others about Jesus Christ.
- Fellowship with other Christians in a church where Jesus is preached.

What happens when you feel you have sinned after we have received?

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Be quick to ask for forgiveness and remember that if we do confess and ask for forgiveness we are cleansed.

Urgent means quickly
Category: Life I for one do not like to beg!  I just don't think a person who follows Christ should have to beg; especially to other Christians.  What has happened to the Holy Spirit?  I for one can testify that He is alive and well, and as the song goes "In the Garden"  He walks with me, and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own.  Yes, a beautiful song verse and how true.  But what about you?  Be honest with yourself, doe's He walk, and talk with you?

All we can do is pray that the Lord Jesus will send people, many, many people to do His service.  We all have burdens to bear for our Lord if we truly love Him.  We are supposed to take up our cross daily and follow Him.  We too often think of following The Way as some kind of social club.  It has gotten to the point lately that I tend not to address myself as a Christian, but one that follows the Way of The Cross.

I send out many, mini sermons and get few responses, especially from Christians.  The most response I get is from peoples from other countries.  It seems a complete shame but if a brother, or sister in Christ needs help in another country, Christians in this country turn a deaf ear.  I have sent out letters, e-mails, have written blogs, prayer requests for the urgent need of our brothers and sisters in India, but alas, not even a comment either yes or no.  One time an excuse and I quote,  "This may be a scam".  May I ask you, where did the Holy Ghost that is supposed to live in your heart go?

I am in constant contact with Nehemiah Solomon daily, and I know what response He is getting, as for prayer, and financial.  They are taking care of 37 rescued orphan children; with 100 more children that is waiting for proper shelter and guidance.  Will you pray, and send some support to him.  Just recently Janet and I had a 3 day fasting prayer service via webcam.  The children sang to us.  It was a glorious time in the Lord.  You also could be part of this good life.  Webcams are very inexpensive, ours cost 20 dollars.

What little support we can send, we send by paypal.  Believe me, the money is put in use only for the children.  What is most important however is your prayers.  Also Nehemiah and his Dad would love to get to know you by e-mail.  They are a loving family.  Nehemiahs paypal account is his e-mail address.   nehemiahchristy@yahoo.co.in

Also, we would like to have comments on what we write.  May God Bless.

I do not serve God because i will be in heaven or get a reward but i serve Him because i love Him and no matter where my Jesus is i long to be with Him even if it is under a bridge. that is what love of Christ Jesus is, Its not!!!! What i can get from Him or it would be selfish. But we as christians have died to self and now we do not live but Christ lives in us. we live for His glory. Thats why so many will fall away from Christ!!because they want Christ to give them what they want insteading them giving all for what pleases and gives Glory to God . It all boils down to Loving God above all.

Mark 12:30
AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.'

Galatians 2:20
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Mark 8:34
And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.

Love in Christ

I married in 1968 at 21 thinking it was going to be forever. Knowing him since I was fifteen, he was the love of my life. Of course it wasn't happily ever after.....

He became consumed by alcohol and was abusive.

I struggled for years to keep our family together watching as my three little boys stood in fear crying for me to leave him, yet I could not let him go.

I don't know how it happened yet one day in 1979 I gave up and took steps to get out of this situation and it seemed that each step took me farther away till there was no way of turning back. I don't think he wanted to lose his family but he just couldn't give up the alcohol. In 1986 he was found in the river, he drowned we never knew if it was an accident or something else. I was devastated because I still loved him, but my hope was gone.

Within six months of my first divorce I married another man. We saw each other only one month before marrying, he acted so nice and I was so desperate to have someone love me that I fell right into that old trap that I had struggled to get out of.  What I didn't know was that this one was more violent than the other, he didn't drink that I know about, but he would get in rages and he could have easily killed me at any time. Still I was stuck in this vicious cycle for another seven years, thinking there was no way out and at times not even caring if he did kill me and get me out of this poor excuse for a life.

Our daughter was born April 6, 1985. but even this beautiful child could not save this hopeless marriage. With her life and other family members in danger it was time to get out.

We divorced in 1987; again I was left alone and with another child to raise.

Those years of abuse from two men who had vowed to love me, had taken its toll and left me feeling dirty, ashamed and worthless, not knowing how to deal with the world and being paralyzed around people I spent several more years living in a self made prison. Not leaving the house unless it became necessary. I functioned from day to day with only what had to be done, taking care of the kids and making sure the bills were paid.
I guess in a way I was abusing myself because I was still in that cycle and believed that I deserved it.

Somehow through this mess my kids maintained a normal life.  They had gone to The First Church of God for years; they had given their lives to Christ.

Sometimes I felt like my kids were deserting me to go to Church, and I resented it.
In my world there were no friends or anyone to talk to. There were times I felt I had no reason to live, and that the only way out was suicide, yet the thought of my kids being left behind kept me from taking action.

Thank God, He had other plans for my family and for me; He wasn't going to let me take the easy way out.

In 1993 my son David who by this time had married, decided he wanted to become a Youth Pastor, he started to attend Mid America Bible College. He was so excited and would come and share some of the great things he was leaning with me. Seeing the excitement and the desire of his heart made me start to rethink my own life and the situation I lived in. Maybe it wasn't too late for me; maybe I could still become someone my kids could be proud of I began to seek knowledge of the Bible.

I began to study and read Christian books. Slowly I started to go to Church, It was so hard in the beginning, Satan tried something new every week to stop me, but each time I took a step of faith, God helped me to overcome the temptation. I became stronger The Church made me feel welcome and became like a second family for me.

On September 5, 1993. I gave my life to Christ. It was a new beginning for me; I had a chance to live, to be the person I was meant to be. My heart began to change I looked up not down. I probably would not be here today if I had not surrendered my life to Christ. I met so many wonderful people that have really encouraged me.

I got a job in the church in 1996, the first job I ever had and I learned many things, even computers which finally led me here to my web sites, my desire to create a ministry for Christ, to reach the lost but also to uplift other Christians who may be going through trials.

God is using my new found skills for his glory. And that pleases me to be able to express what He has done for me. I am so thankful that my kids were praying for my salvation even though I didn't know it then. They never tried to force me to go to Church; they lived a life of good examples. David is now the Pastor at The Bethany Church of God. I can honestly say today that I am glad that I am alive today and have a chance to witness for Christ.

Category: Life My friends, the Lord Jesus Christ has told us to come to Him if we are heavy laden, and that He will give us rest.  My friends Jesus Christ will give us a light yoke to bear.
On one of the sites on my-space a minister summed up the problems of this country, the U.S. by saying and I quote;  "the country has dried up" meaning that the people are greedy, materialistic, uncaring, unlearned, proud, boastful, scoffers, ungodly, and immoral.  Now the quote was in the context that people were not coming to Jesus Christ in the True Spirit of the Word.  People are not reading, meditating, or believing what God is telling us.  False teaching's in this, the end time is from one end of this country to the other, various bigot congregations being set up under all types of man made denominational rules, congregations trying to straddle the fence between the law of death, and the New Covenant, immorality in the church, ido worship, the list goes on.  This is why the quote, "it has dried up."
Not to say, we in America do have some few good Spirit filled congregations that are doing the Good Work of the Lord, but let me tell you that they are getting to be fewer each year!  Have you been to a church lately asking for help?  Help generally cannot be found.  The denominational churches are steeped in the traditions of men.  Being non-denominational Janet and I are asked to preach in denominational churches.  We have found in all instances that the people have a severe hunger for the true pure word of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Church is to be a place where christians assemble themselves together to worship God, to love God with all our mind, strength, and soul, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.  God told us when we go to church to worship Him, that all of us should have something to contribute.  We do not go to be entertained, but we should have one thought in mind, and that is to worship our creator.
When I see churches where parents are holding their babies, and young children are sitting with their parents, mostly I see a Spirit filled church.  We have to teach our children about God; and the only way is thru the Spirit of God's Word, not spirited away from the parents, but with the parents.
Now comes something that is so unscriptual, but nearly everyone anymore has been brainwashed.  This is tithing!  You tell me, I defy you to prove that tithing is scriptual in the New covenant given to us by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
The word tithe simply put means 10%.  Now, I know and realize that the bible says to lay by and store what we have been prospered and bring to the storehouse.  Does this mean 10%?  No.  What does storehouse mean, the temple of God? No.  Under the New covenant we born again christians are the temple!  What, don't you know you are the temple of God?  The storehouse the bible speaks of in the New Testament is a place set aside for food, clothing, and money for the poor and needy, the orphans, and the widows, to be distributed out each week!  In the first chapters of Acts, deacons were created, not as a title of great esteem, but ordinary God fearing men capable to teach, to keep order in the congregations, and to distribute the offerings from the storehouse.  They were to take some of the duties from the apostles.  Can you see what the modern church does, usually men will get puffed up with a title, they collect the offering, count it, and usually report to the preacher the amount going into an bank account somewhere.  Usually this is Not distributed to the poor and needy, but to be put into beautiful buildings, and to fatten man made salary's.
Now can you see why America has dried up?  I correspond with ministries in India.  They do not ask for money as they are ministering in pure Faith.  They ask for our prayers for their ministries, their orphans that they rescue and take care of, their widows, and their mentally handicapped.  Usually at one or their services anywhere from 3 to 1000 people accept the Lord Jesus Christ, and are baptized.  They preach, and teach the True Gospel, the True Gospel is what draws and not the stale church atmosphere of the churches in America.  This is why Janet and I support in every way we can the Indian churches.  Their ministers are being killed very often for preaching Jesus, but the fire in their Spirits.  I am being taught by them.  It is so humbling to me to get to know so many of these Godly men.  I love you all, and I ask God's blessing on each and every person that reads this.  I pray that we all come together in one accord, love, trust, and put aside all self seeking attitudes.  In Jesus's name I pray.  Amen.

BEWARE OF THIS BOOK!!

Photobucket

If you have children or grandchildren, work with children at church, or you have neighborhood children whose parents you know, please take note of the information below and pass it along to others.

Schools are distributing this book to children through the Scholastic Book Club.
The name of the book is Conversations with God.. James Dobson talked about this book twice this week. It is devastating.

Parents, churches and Christian schools need to be aware of it. Please pass this information on to Church/e-mail addresses, Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends.

Please pay special attention not only to what your kids watch on TV, in movie theaters, on the internet, and the music they listen to, but also be alert regarding the books they read.

Two particular books are, Conversations with God and Conversations with God for Teens, written by Neale D. Walsch. They sound harmless enough by their titles alone. The books have been on the New York Times best sellers list for a number of weeks, and they make truth of the statement, "Don't judge a book by its cover or title.
"

The author purports to answer various questions asked by kids using the "voice of God". However, the "answers" that he gives are not Bible-based and go against the very infallible word of God.
For instance (and I paraphrase), When a girl asks the question "Why am I a lesbian?" His answer is that she was
'born that way' because of genetics (just as you were born right-handed, with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go out and "celebrate" her differences.

Another girls poses the question "I am living with my boyfriend. My parents say that I shoud marry him because I am living in sin.
Should I marry him?" His reply is,
"Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong.
"

Another question asks about God's forgiveness of sin.
His reply
"I do not forgive anyone because there is nothing to forgive. There is no such thing as right or wrong and that is what I have been trying to tell everyone, do not judge people. People have chosen to judge one another and this is wrong, because the rule is "'judge not lest ye be judged.
"

Not only are these books the false doctrine of the devil, but in some instances quote (in error) the Word of God.

And the list goes on. These books (and others like it) are being sold to schoolchildren through (The Scholastic Book Club), and we need to be aware of what is being fed to our children.

The children of our nation are under attack.
So I pray that you be sober and vigilant about teaching your children the Word of God, and guarding their exposure to worldly mediums, because our adversary, the devil, roams about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8).

We know that lions usually hunt for the slowest, weakest and YOUNGEST of its prey.

Pass this on to every Believer you know.
And, if you are in doubt, check out the books yourself

1 John 3:1-10

1 John 3

Children of God Love One Another

1See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

2Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.

3And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

4Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.

5You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin.

6No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.

 7Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous;

8the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.

9No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

10By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

as the Lord leads!

*UNFORTUNATELY*

Unfortunately, there are profiles here, and other places as well, that start off by saying that they "love" God, or that God is "first" in their life, then they proceed to continue with details of their measurements, inappropriate pics of themselves, and/or foul language. How can people's consciences allow them to curl their fingers to type about God, then in the same stroke go against God? (smh)

SPECIAL NOTE:IM SO SORRY IF YOU THINK IM BEING JUDGMENTAL,BUT THIS I KNOW TO BE THE TRUTH! NO ONE IS PERFECT,BUT COME ON PEOPLE RIGHT IS RIGHT AND WRONG IS WRONG,FOR WHEN YOU KNOW TO DO RIGHT THEN DO IT!LETS BE AN EXAMPLE TO THE UNBELIEVERS !SORRY IF THE TRUTH HURTS YOUR FEELINGS,BUT PLEASE KNOW THAT I SPEAK OUT OF LOVE.(LOVE IS-DOING WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU OR FOR SOMEONE ELSE,AND THIS IS THE LOVE THAT GOD SHOWS AND SPEAKS OF)

1 PETER 2:11-12
11 Dear friends, since you are foreigners and temporary residents in the world, I'm encouraging you to keep away from the desires of your corrupt nature. These desires constantly attack you.

12 Live decent lives among unbelievers. Then, although they ridicule you as if you were doing wrong while they are watching you do good things, they will praise God on the day he comes to help you.AMEN !

1. Thoroughly clean the toilet.

2. Add the required amount of shampoo to the toilet water.
3. Obtain the cat and carry him to the bathroom.

4. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and
close both lids (you may need to stand on the lid so
that he cannot escape).
CAUTION: Do not get any part of your body too
close to the edge, as his paws will be
reaching out for anything he can find.

5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides
a "power wash and rinse" which I have found to be
quite effective.

6. Have someone open the door to the outside and ensure
that there are no people between the toilet and the
outside door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and
quickly lift both lids.

8. The now-clean cat will rocket out of the toilet, and
run outside where he will dry himself.

Sincerily, The Dog

Has your foot ever fallen asleep? It's such a strange sensation... it looks no different, but for a few moments, it's basically useless.

That's where I've been for a long time. To tell the truth, it's probably been since around 2003. I spent that summer on a revival team of sorts, with 2 other students from my college. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. It was me (I had just finished my freshman year of college), and Shawn and Britney (who had both just finished their sophomore year). None of us really knew each other very well, but we spent 9 weeks traveling all over the state of Texas - each week in a different place. We led revivals, vacation Bible schools, backyard Bible clubs... whatever the church needed.

Shawn turned out to be the kind of person who liked to push buttons to see what kind of reaction he could get. I am a patient and pretty easy-going person, and he would pester me to my absolute maximum, and poke at all my insecurities until I got upset - then he would chastise me for getting angry and tell me how unChristian it was. Often Shawn and Britney treated me like a "lesser Christian" - I once used the word "facade" in conversation and was sternly lectured on how I shouldn't use "big words" to make myself sound smarter and make others feel stupid.

Around the middle of the 9 weeks, we were in a small Texas town. We were working specifically with the youth group at this church - we were going to go to camp with them and lead the worship services for their camp. We got there on a Saturday and weren't leaving for camp until Monday or Tuesday... so the youth minister, Tony, took us canoing on the river. To make a VERY long story short, I came out of the canoing trip so much worse for the wear - I had huge bruises across my back, a severely stubbed toe (with a piece of tree bark lodged in it) and I had probably swallowed more river water than was good for me. I plan to never set foot in a canoe again because I am apparently really bad at it...  Needless to say, I was miserable. I felt terrible, my foot hurt, and I started coming down with a cold. By this time, I expected Shawn to make fun of me, and he did. What I did not expect was for Tony to lead the entire youth group in making fun of me. The week ended up being poke-fun-at-Anne week. It wasn't so terrible that the teenagers teased me - they were young and just following the example of their leaders... what amazed me was the way Tony and Shawn came together to make sure everyone thought I was just a big joke. The week finally ended, after what seemed like a year.

The rest of the weeks went by decently... until we were in one town that was fairly close to the aforementioned town. Shawn wanted us to go down and visit Tony again, which we did. I had no choice but to go along, we had to stick together. We ate lunch with Tony, and when I mentioned in the conversation that my dad was a librarian, Tony and Shawn proceeded to make jokes regarding his sexuality (I'll let your imagination fill in the rest). My dad is one of my favorite people in the world, and is basically an awesome guy. And very much straight, and very much married, and very much happy with my mom. And maybe I'm old-fashioned, but it didn't seem befitting to me for a youth minister to joke about such things. And by this time Shawn had met my dad, so when I said he was a librarian, and Tony turned to Shawn and asked about my dad's sexuality and Shawn laughed and said "yeah" - I was furious. I probably should have said something about it... but i was young and didn't want to "rock to the boat" (or canoe).

Despite the problems with Shawn, Britney and I became very close. Often the kids we worked with would ask if we were sisters. By the end of the summer, I almost forgot that she wasn't my sister. I think once I was waiting on her and said to a kid "let's wait for my sister... I mean, my friend..."  We had shared so much - I think we shared a room at every place we stayed, except maybe one. When the fall semester started at school, I was looking forward to hanging out with her. The first time I saw her, I excitedly said hello and tried to have a conversation with her... beyond saying hi, I couldn't get her to talk to me. She ignored me.

There have been several times in my life when my heart broke - and that was one of them. And something inside started to shut down. I had spent my summer in what I thought would be the work of the Lord, and found nothing but humiliation, condemnation, and heart ache. This was all at the hands of people professing to be Christians, and in some cases, people actively involved in ministry. I didn't want to be associated with that. I was a Christian, and I never doubted the core of Christianity - but if those people were Christians, then I didn't want to be associated with it.

I still went to church, but I was paid to be there because I was the pianist. Looking back now, if I hadn't needed the extra money, I probably would have stopped going. The remaining three years at college I slipped further and further away. I still believed in God - I still believe Jesus was the Son of God, died for our sins, resurrected on the 3rd day, etc - but I became less and less interested in the fellowship aspect of religion, and it became less and less of a daily activity and more like a tradition that I just couldn't quite let go of.

2006 - I moved to the town I live in now for graduate school. I found a church that had a handbell choir - I've played handbells since I was 11 and love it. Once again, I ended up finding myself in a position that I couldn't just stop going to church... once I'd gotten plugged into the handbell group, the director quit and I was asked to fill in.

This year in the spring, I was dating a guy who was in the army. He would come to church with me on occasion, but I finally asked him what he really believed. The only thing he could come up with was "you know... like, God and karma and stuff..." - he couldn't even expound on that. I broke up with him and decided that religion had to be part of my daily life again. I wrote "You'll Go with Me" (which you can listen to in a YouTube video on my profile), and started wondering how to get closer to God. I even wondered if maybe you're only given so many chances and then God just writes you off... I had almost resigned myself to a life of longing to have back something I willingly gave up...

This summer I started actively chatting on a Christian chat site that will remain unnamed, and realized how much I needed Christian friends in my life. I had friends who claimed to be Christians, but didn't live it - at least until it was time for them to tell someone else that they were wrong...  but now I had Christian friends again, but I felt like I didn't know how to talk about God anymore. I hadn't realized how long out of practice I'd been.

I've started listening to Christian music again, and I'm slowly but surely getting back into making my faith a part of my daily life. It's not easy, but I'm not giving up. I've also realized how ridiculous it is to believe that God only gives so many chances - if I was only given a finite number of chances, I would have used them all up years before now, that's for sure... but His mercies are new each day and He still loves me and welcomes me back.

So yes... I've been like a foot that's fallen asleep - no difference on the outside, but basically useless. But now the prickles are starting and the Blood of Life is starting to flow again.

"So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' " (Luke 15:20-24)

I was ten my dad told my mom on their 13th anniversary that he wanted a divorce. He loved her but wasn't in love with her. This really didn't bother me at first. I knew my parents weren't happy together, so if they were apart and still friends I was happy. All I knew is no matter what I wanted to live with my mom. Soon after my parents split, my sister moved out. Even though she would hit me and drag me out of the house by my hair she was my only companion. The only person I really had anything to do with. I spent most of my days with her. After she moved out, I didn't see her again until I was thirteen.

The next three years in life were really hard for me. My dad was dragging me in and out of his relationships...I would stay up at night hearing my mom cry herself to sleep....I would sit and wonder if I would see any of my sisters again. I struggled with depression. I felt like no one could help or my family would be judged by others. So I never said anything. It was like my deep dark secret that no one could know about.

Then I met my best friend Lyndsie the person I call my guardian angel. We talked all the time, I could tell her anything and everything. I never felt so relieved in my life. At this same point I started going to youth group and learn to give my pain to God...all my hurts, struggles, everything. I started feeling better more relieved and then in two years...My faith was really tested.

My sister's fiancé overdosed and died. Which was sad...but it meant we no longer had to worry about him drugging or beating her...she would no longer have to sell her body or get beat if she refused. She went through tons of depression, she often thought of suicide. I didn't understand how she could love someone who treated her so bad. But then I thought of how God loves us, even when we turn away from him. It's unconditional love, and although you don't always understand it, it's still always there for you.

Another rough spot my family was in at this time in life was dealing with my oldest sister's ex husband. He was harassing her and threatening to kill her family if she didn't come back to him. It was a very hard time for everyone. We felt like we needed to protect her and the girls, but it was very difficult and sometimes it seemed impossible.

If we thought things couldn't be worse, we were wrong. My other sister was sitting in prison for robbing a bank with her husband, because they couldn't afford to take care of their kids. I was told I wouldn't see my sister for years. It broke my heart, these are my siblings and they are not here spending life with us, their family.

My dad picked this point in my life to tell me he had cheated on my mom when she was eight months pregnant with me, and I had a sister that wanted to meet me. This was insane I thought. This only happens to other people, not my family. I'm fifteen years old, and you want me to meet someone I don't know and just accept her? I know this might sound bad on my part, but I wasn't sure I could do that.

I just kept giving it all to God...I knew he wouldn't give me too much...I kept remembering the verse "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13, but I admit at times it was hard. Not only was their strife in my life, but my best friend Lyndsie was going through things I had already gone through.

Her parents started fighting a lot. Her dad would leave and he wouldn't come back for hours on end. She would call me, and I would stay on the phone with her until her dad had come home. I would try to cheer her up, and I would read Bible verses to her, just giving her all the inspiration I could. If things didn't seem bad enough for her, another tragic they happened. Her best friend's boyfriend died in a car crash. She felt so alone and torn down. She didn't believe in God. So she didn't have the blessing of giving all her strife to him. She felt really bogged down with her friend's sadness on top of her parents fighting. This had put her in a depression she had never known.

She would often talk about suicide. This scared me to no end. I was worried I prayed and prayed and kept reassuring her that her parents loved her. I kept telling her that I loved her but most of all God loved her and she was worth so much and suicide was not the answer.

Three days later one of my classmates had killed themselves...It was one of the worst feelings I have ever felt. I was determined to do everything I could to keep Lyndsie from making that same decision. I stayed strong and kept praying and kept reassuring her. She got better and better every day. I would read the Bible to her and we would discuss it and a year later she was saved. I got the nickname ShiningThruPain from Lyndsie because she said even at my worst times in life. I turned to God, smiled, and held her together. I always shined through my pain, to help whoever needed it.

While writing this I've realized one verse that really sticks out. "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things." 1st Corinthians 13:7. Through it all God's love is what got me through.

Pennies

You always hear the usual stories of pennies on the sidewalk being good luck, gifts from angels, etc. This is the first time I've ever heard this twist on the story. Gives you something to think about.

Several years ago, a friend of mine and her husband were invited to spend the weekend at the husband's employer's home. My friend, Arlene, was nervous about the weekend. The boss was very wealthy, with a fine home on the waterway, and cars costing more than her house.

The first day and evening went well, and Arlene was delighted to have this rare glimpse into how the very wealthy live. The husband's employer was quite generous as a host, and took them to the finest restaurants. Arlene knew she would never have the opportunity to indulge in this kind of extravagance again, so was enjoying herself immensely..

As the three of them were about to enter an exclusive restaurant that evening, the boss was walking slightly ahead of Arlene and her husband.

He stopped suddenly, looking down on the pavement for a long, silent moment.

Arlene wondered if she was supposed to pass him. There was nothing on the ground except a single darkened penny that someone had dropped, and a few cigarette butt.

Still silent, the man reached down and picked up the penny.

He held it up and smiled, then put it in his pocket as if he had found a great treasure. How absurd! What need did this man have for a single penny? Why would he even take the time to stop and pick it up?

Throughout dinner, the entire scene nagged at her. Finally, she could stand it no longer. She casually mentioned that her daughter once had a coin collection, and asked if the penny he had found had been of some value.

A smile crept across the man's face as he reached into his pocket for the penny and held it out for her to see She had seen many pennies before! What was the point of this?

'Look at it.' He said. 'Read what it says.' She read the words ' United States of America '

'No, not that; read further.'

'One cent?'

'No, keep reading.'
'In God we Trust?' 'Yes!'

'And?'

'And if I trust in God, the name of God is holy, even on a coin. Whenever I find a coin I see that inscription It is written on every single United States coin, but we never seem to notice it! God drops a message right in front of me telling me to trust Him? Who am I to pass it by? When I see a coin, I pray, I stop to see if my trust IS in God at that moment. I pick the coin up as a response to God; that I do trust in Him..

For a short time, at least, I cherish it as if it were gold. I think it is God's way of starting a conversation with me. Lucky for me , God is patient and pennies are plentiful!

When I was out shopping today, I found a penny on the sidewalk. I stopped and picked it up, and realized that I had been worrying and fretting in my mind about things I cannot change.

I read the words, 'In God We Trust,' and had to laugh Yes, God, I get the message.

It seems that I have been finding an inordinate number of pennies in the last few months, but then, pennies are plentiful!

And, God is patient..

So next time you are walking outside keep an eye to the ground and see if you see a message from God. Pick it up and give him grace he has given you.

RULES FOR LOVING "LUKE 6:27-36" (GODS WORD TRANSLATION) 27 "But I tell everyone who is listening: Love your enemies. Be kind to those who hate you. 28 Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who insult you. 29 If someone strikes you on the cheek, offer the other cheek as well. If someone takes your coat, don't stop him from taking your shirt. 30 Give to everyone who asks you for something. If someone takes what is yours, don't insist on getting it back. 31 "Do for other people everything you want them to do for you. 32 "If you love those who love you, do you deserve any thanks for that? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 If you help those who help you, do you deserve any thanks for that? Sinners do that too. 34 If you lend anything to those from whom you expect to get something back, do you deserve any thanks for that? Sinners also lend to sinners to get back what they lend. 35 Rather, love your enemies, help them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then you will have a great reward. You will be the children of the Most High God. After all, he is kind to unthankful and evil people. 36 Be merciful as your Father is merciful.

Why are we afraid of death?

Now, if a baby not yet born, still tucked under his mothers heart, could think, he might say to himself: " This is a wonderful place. It's warm. I'm fed. I'm taken care of. I'm secure. This is a great world where I am now. I like it here." And then someone might say to him:  "But you're not going to stay here. you have to move on: Your going to die out of this place.  You're going to another world.   " The baby would look upon the process of birth as if it were death since it would be the end of the pleasant state he was in. But look what happens to him! He is cradled in loving arms. Soft hands hold him gently. A kind face looks down at him and he loves that face. Everybody that comes near loves him. He's the king of the world he surveys and he comes to love that world, too. It's even better than the one in which he had been before.

Finally, he gets to be an old man and he is told: "You have to die to this world." He protests: " I don't want to die. I love this world. I like the feel of the sun on my face and the cool rain. I love the faces of my wife and children. I've lived here a long time and I love this place. I dont want to die." But, he does die to this world and then he is born into the next. And look what happens! He awakens to find himself young again. And once again, there are loving faces to greet him and loving hands to touch him.  And even more beautiful, sunlight will be there to surrond him, and  sweeter music that he's ever heard in his life before will sound in his ears. And all tears will be wiped from hie eyes and he will say: "Why was I so afraid of this thing called death, when, as I now know it is really life instead.

Looking for feedback.

This was a segment was taken from a bible school leasons. It is from a funeral sermon by Norman vincent Peale.

I recieved word a couple of days ago that Pastor G. Job, of the Village Gospel Team in India, has been called home to be with the Lord.

Pastor Job has battled a medical problem for months and was nearly unresponsive for somethime now.

Before his illness we would sit for hours chatting through IM.  We shared our visions on how to help the children in Hanumam Junction in the Krishna District of India.

I recall one afternoon while online with Job.  Job was asking about my brother having worked for the American Bible Society and talking about the kids they were taking care of and he asked me to pray that God would supply the food they need.  I suddenly realized that it was early morning his time.  I asked about him still being awake and he said that his son, Bobby had gone to show the Jesus film in another village and had not returned yet.  He was concerned as the scooter had bad tires.  Sure enough, Bobby called him and had a flat.  Job excused himself whil he mad arraingments then came back online.  This man of God didn't ask if I could send money for new tires, nor did he ask for money for food.  Pastor Job wanted to know if we could get them some bibles so new Christians could have thier own to read and study.

Bobby, who is only 18, has been trying to carry on his fathers vision and with God's help Ministry of the Sheep will be there to help.

I told Bobby, I can see our fathers in heaven together, looking down and shouting "Get it done sons"

Pastor Job, I will  meet you in Heaven!

Dear Dad,

If I could write a story
It would be the greatest ever told
Of a kind and loving Man
Who had a heart of gold

I could write a million pages
But still be unable to say, just how
Much I love and miss this man
Every single day

I will remember all he taught me
I'm hurt but won't be sad
‘coz he'll send me down the answers
And he'll always be MY DAD

I love you Dad,
Happy Fathers Day!

You must follow Jesus to be saved!

This is absalutely true for it is written...

If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (Matthew 16:24)

It is written again...

Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (Mark 8:34)

It is written yet again...

And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. (Luke 9:23)

You better realize that if your not following Jesus Christ you don't belong to him. (Matthew 10:38, Luke 14:27) Jesus said...

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me (John 10:27).

If you make Jesus your personal savior but you don't obey him, he is not your saviour neither is he your LORD because salvation is only promised to those that obey him (Hebrews 5:9, Acts 5:32). If you want to be saved you need to repent of all your sins and turn completely to Christ (Acts 2:38, John 8:11, Romans 6, Joel 2:12-13). This means sacrificing everything to Jesus and making him LORD of your entire life. Now if you don't want to do this then I'm sorry your are not worthy of Christ (Matthew 10:38, Luke 14:27). You need to sacrifice all your worldly pleasures and entertainment and give your free time over to Christ. Now I'm not saying forsake your friends and family but everything that has nothing to do with Christ needs to go because this clouds your vision of the LORD and cause spiritual blindness (Distraction => Drifiting => fall away). The bible says commit your works unto the LORD (Proverbs 16:3). The above verses tell you to do what I just told you here.

JESUS SAID TO DENY YOURSELF, TAKE UP YOUR CROSS, AND FOLLOW HIM! The sheep are those who obey and follow Christ and he gives them eternal life.

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10:28)

Now this verse does not promise eternal security but simply states that no man can pluck you out of the hand of God but the bible teaches and Christ himself that you can fall away many different ways (Matthew 13, Mark 4, Luke 8, Acts 1:25, Hebrews 6:6, 2 Peter 3:17, Acts 5, Galations 5:4). The bible says Christ can keep you from falling (Jude 1:24) but you have to abide in him through the spirit (Romans 8, John 15). Now if you haven't received the Holy Ghost your not saved (Romans 8:9) and need to obey Acts 2:38 and the gospel.

There was a person who asked Jesus what to do to inherit eternal life in the gospel. Notice what the LORD's answer was here...

Matthew 19:16-21

16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

17 And he said unto him, why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, GodL but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

He said keep the commandments... notice he didn't ask, "did you keep the commandments?" He asked him to keep the commandments (Present tense) because in Ezekiel it says if a sinner turns from all his transgressions and does that which is right he shall surely live. (Ezekiel 18)

18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

19 Hounor thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell what thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Jesus said follow me. Now when you look at the question that was asked it was what shall I do to inherit eternal life. Jesus concluded his answer with follow me. Christ said my sheep hear my voice and they follow me. He gives them eternal life. Notice in Matthew 25 how there is a seperation of the sheep and the goats. Notice that the goats were disobediant to the LORD's commandment, love your neighbor as yourself. Every time someone who belongs to Christ, who really needs help, asks and you ignore them you did it to Christ himself. The gospel teaches alot about sacrifice and following Jesus in relation to belonging to him which means salvation. LORDSHIP SALVATION IS ONE OF THE MAIN MESSAGES OF THE GOSPEL! IT'S ALL OR NOTHING, NOT 99%, OR 75%, OR 50%, 100% EVERYTHING!

That which was heard from the beggining! Thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. THIS IS THE FIRST AND GREAT COMMANDMENT! (Deuteromy 6:5, Matthew 22:37, Mark 12:30, Luke 10:27)

THE BIBLE SAYS WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING (Phillipians 2:12).

Today we suffer a great loss of a man devoted to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost. Pastor Job, of the Village Gospel Mission in Hyderabad India, has gone to be with the Father. He passed on June 16 2009 at 9:35 am.

This tradgedy could have been avoided, had MOTSI had the resources to help get him proper medical care. We have recieved only $355.00 since we started our campaign for there ministry. We need help! $5 per month from 1000 people would change the lives completely of a entire village and it's children 17 cents per day, we lose that in the seat cushions of our couch! DIG DOWN DEEP and ask God if this is what he would have you to do! Sacrifice a bottle of pop a week to help children eat!,go to school, get proper medical attention! DIG! Don't sit by and allow this sort of thing to happen when it takes so little to prevent it. Only three contributions have come through our web site! THREE!

We are a legitmate U.S. based organization dedicated to spreading the words of Christ and giving humanitarian aide to the opressed and underprivlaged of the world but we can't do it with out your help. www.ministryofthesheep.org.

PLEASE HELP US I AM BEGGING YOU!

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." - Romans 1:16

If you have me as a friend on Tangle, Facebook or or the other social networks then by now you might have noticed I speak about my Bible study, Posse [comes from the Greek word Apostropho which means to rebel against something, our case society], quite a bit lately. One of the verses we use as a focal is Romans 1:16.

I have never considered myself to be ashamed of my faith in God. There are several times in my past I could recall where I had to defend myself for what I believe and at the end I always thought myself proud to say I am a Christian.

This past Tuesday Posse went out to peaceably protest for an ordinance that would give special rights to sexual minorities in Anchorage, Alaska [www.sosanchorage.com for more information]. There I had people say vulgar things to me, hand gestures made and at one point felt like I was going to have to defend a girl from a drunk man. Now, luckily I did not but those impressions I received from outside my Christian "bubble" was a dose of reality I needed.

Today for the most part I stayed home and did some cleaning and organizing. Later in the day however I wanted to look at some camcorders [hence my reason for no updated video logs in months!], so I had to go out in the public. I was wearing my "Jesus is not religion" shirt and was surprised when I actually thought about changing because I did not want confrontation. Prior to this past week I wore it often without a second thought, yet today I took a minute to think. The pathetic part is that, this was a shirt, I was not even speaking to someone.

I got over it and wore the shirt anyways. My first stop was Wal-Mart.

If your a Christian I am sure you can relate to what comes next. Since, of course, I had the thoughts of confrontation, I will guess God needed a laugh [or other reasons] so He let it happen. I walk in with one lady turning around to read my shirt, then tapping her three friends with them turning around to do the same. Then they walked off snickering, taking glances back. I just smiled and kept walking. Afterwards I got some encouragement because a Wal-Mart employee walked by and told me he liked it.

Isn't it funny though how God does exactly what we do not want at the time? Just to prove His point that He will be with us, or to give us those opportune times to make a choice for Him. Now, again I will reiterate, that this was a shirt, not some life changing time. But in a different situation, could it have been? After Wal-Mart I went to another store and got looks again, yet that round I did not give any attention.

I know my identity in Christ and write this post not for anyone else but myself. To know who I am, who Jesus Christ is, and to firmly reconfirm that I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

A newborn's conversation with God

A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?' God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'

The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.'

Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'

'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?' God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'

'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.'

'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'

God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.'

I had to share this. I was just in our forum and read a prayer request for a precious 3 year with a brain tumor then went into my email and had recieved this from a friend. Coinsidense?

THE SPARROW AT STARBUCKS

The song that silenced the cappuccino machine
by John Thomas Oaks

It was chilly in Manhattan but warm inside the Starbucks shop on 51st Street and Broadway, just a skip up from Times Square . Early November weather in New York City holds only the slightest hint of the bitter chill of late December and January, but it's enough to send the masses crowding indoors to vie for available space and warmth.

For a musician, it's the most lucrative Starbucks location in the world, I'm told, and consequently, the tips can be substantial if you play your tunes right. Apparently, we were striking all the right chords that night, because our basket was almost overflowing.

It was a fun, low-pressure gig - I was playing keyboard and singing backup for my friend who also added rhythm with an arsenal of percussion instruments. We mostly did pop songs from the '40s to the '90s with a few original tunes thrown in.

During our emotional rendition of the classic, "If You Don't Know Me by Now," I noticed a lady sitting in one of the lounge chairs across from me. She was swaying to the beat and singing along.

After the tune was over, she approached me. "I apologize for singing along on that song. Did it bother you?" she asked. "No," I replied. "We love it when the audience joins in.. Would you like to sing up front on the next selection?"

To my delight, she accepted my invitation.

"You choose," I said. "What are you in the mood to sing?"

"Well. ... do you know any hymns?"
Hymns? This woman didn't know who she was dealing with.. I cut my teeth on hymns. Before I was even born, I was going to church. I gave our guest
singer a knowing look. "Name one."

"Oh, I don't know. There are so many good ones. You pick one.." "Okay," I relied, "How about 'His Eye is on the Sparrow'?"

My new friend was silent, her eyes averted. Then she fixed her eyes on mine again and said, "Yeah. Let's do that one.."

She slowly nodded her head, put down her purse, straightened her jacket and faced the center of the shop. With my two-bar setup, she began to sing.

"Why should I be discouraged?

Why should the shadows come? "

The audience of coffee drinkers was transfixed . Even the gurgling noises of the cappuccino machine ceased as the employees stopped what they were doing to listen. The song rose to its conclusion.

"I sing because I'm happy

I sing because because I'm free.
For His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me. "

When the last note was sung, the applause crescendoed to a deafening roar that would have rivaled a sold-out crowd at Carnegie Hall.

Embarrassed, the woman tried to shout over the din, "Oh, y'all go back to your coffee! I didn't come in here to do a concert! I just came in here to get somethin' to drink, just like you!" But the ovation continued. I embraced my new friend.. "You, my dear, have made my whole year! That was beautiful!"

"Well, it's funny that you picked that particular hymn," she said.

"Why is that?"

"Well . ..." she hesitated again, "that was my daughter's favorite song."

"Really!" I exclaimed.

"Yes," she said, and then grabbed my hands. By this time, the applause had subsided and it was business as usual.

"She was 16. She died of a brain tumor last week."

I said the first thing that found its way through my stunned silence.

"Are you going to be okay?"

She smiled through tear-filled eyes and squeezed my hands. "I'm gonna be okay. I've just got to keep trusting the Lord and singing his songs, and everything's gonna be just fine."

She picked up her bag, gave me her card, and then she
was gone.

Was it just a coincidence that we happened to be singing in that particular coffee shop on that particular November night?

Coincidence that this wonderful lady just happened to walk into that particular shop? Coincidence that of all the hymns to choose from, I just happened to pick the very hymn that was her daughters, who had died just the week
before?

I refuse to believe it..

God has been arranging encounters in human history
since the beginning of time, and it's no stretch for me to imagine that he could reach into a coffee shop in midtown Manhattan and turn an ordinary gig into a revival.
It was a great reminder that if we keep trusting him and singing his songs, everything's gonna be okay.

The next time you feel like GOD can't use you, just remember...

Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Sampson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
John the Baptist ate bugs
Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer...AND
Lazarus was dead!

No more excuses
now!! God
can use you to your full potential.
Besides you aren't the message, you are
just the
messenger.

So often we all are so swarmed up in our walk with christ, we forget what we were like before we came to know Jesus. It seems like a different life somehow then the one we're currently living in, and thereby overwhelm those that are peeking in from the outside we once ALL stuggled to live in.

Let this be a blog where others can post what THEY are thinking about or living with, and whats on their minds. And answer maybe some of the questions we all had at one point and how we got through it.

Thanks for the opportunity, GOD Bless!

So many peopel today are hurting. Many people hurt and do not know
why. So many times they hurt and do not know that relife comes
through Jesus. They will try so many other things in this world that
they dont relize that what they need is Jesus. When we hurt, we hurt
real bad. I have felt this kind of hurt in my life. But I have
relized that when I am at the end of my rope I have only Jesus to
hange on to. But thanks to God I am doing much better. But why do so
many people, even Christians hurt? Its because they dont usally turn
to Jesus in there times of need. When Jesus came to this earth HE
came to set people free from all kinds of hurt. John 8:32 says "Then
you will know the truth and the truth will make you free." My couisn
told me that when we are made free we are free forever. John 8:36
also says "the one the SON sets free is free indeed." If your
hurting today then turn to Jesus. As Third Day puts it "Cry out to
Jesus." You so many of us hurt and dont even know it. But thats why
Jesus came. When Jesus died on the cross HE took all our hurts,
pains, and sins with HIM to the cross and then to the grave. Jesus
is calling out to you today. HE wants to take all your hurts and
pains away. There is hope. When in doubt pray. WHen hurting pray.
When in pain pray. Remember to CRY OUT TO JESUS. When you have
nothing left and you relize that there is no one to turn to and you
have nothing to cling to then cling to Jesus and pray. There have
been many times I have hurt over my life time. But I have never
given up on Jesus. I remember one time I was hurting and crying and
I fell to the floor in my kitchen and all of a sudden I felt these
spiritual arms reach and just hold me and my head sank into the
chest of Jesus. It was amazing. Jesus is amazing. There three songs
I would like to share with you. One is called Cry Out to Jesus by
Third Day and the other is called Come to Jesus by Chris Rice and
the last is called Hold on to Jesus by O.C. Supertones.

Third Day "Cry Out To Jesus"
To everyone who's lost someone they love
Long before it was their time
You feel like the days you had were not enough
when you said goodbye

And to all of the people with burdens and pains
Keeping you back from your life
You believe that there's nothing and there is no one
Who can make it right

There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
Love for the broken heart
There is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus, Cry out to Jesus

For the marriage that's struggling just to hang on
They lost all of their faith in love
They've done all they can to make it right again
Still it's not enough

For the ones who can't break the addictions and chains
You try to give up but you come back again
Just remember that you're not alone in your shame
And your suffering

When your lonely
And it feels like the whole world is falling on you
You just reach out, you just cry out to Jesus
Cry to Jesus

To the widow who struggles with being alone
Wiping the tears from her eyes
For the children around the world without a home
Say a prayer tonight

Chris Rice "Come To Jesus"Weak and wounded sinner
Lost and left to die
O, raise your head, for love is passing by
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus and live!

Now your burden's lifted
And carried far away
And precious blood has washed away the stain, so
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus and live!

And like a newborn baby
Don't be afraid to crawl
And remember when you walk
Sometimes we fall...so
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus and live!

Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain, then
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus and live!

O, and when the love spills over
And music fills the night
And when you can't contain your joy inside, then
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus and live!

And with your final heartbeat
Kiss the world goodbye
Then go in peace, and laugh on Glory's side, and
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus and live!

O.C. Supertones "Hold on to Jesus"
I'm learning that nothing worth anything is cheap.
I'm learning the path is thin and the grade is steep,
and that the altars where we lay ourselves will crack when tested
and that theres only one that turns our hearts to gold

(chorus)
Hold on to Jesus
tell Him about everything
your dreams and your troubles
pure hearts desire one thing
and mine is to know You
mine is to break down
and shatter to pieces
and lose everything I've found

I'm finding that I'm not who I once thought I was
I'm finding I'm powerless to obtain Your love
And that the only gifts I bring to You are rags and failures
through a strange exchange You've made them myrrh and gold

Praise the Lord to all reading this blog, this is my very first time ever posting a blog so feel free to leave any questions or comments about it! Today I went to church as I usually do, we had an excellent service my pastor spoke on Jonah being in the belly of a fish because he disobeyed God. It was a good sermon, no doubt! We have 2 baptism today which was a blessing! After church I had dinner with some family members and after that we did a little shopping, and here I am blogging! LOL!  I was thinking about my 14 year old nephew, which is my older brother 1st born child,my mothers 1st grandson and my 1st nephew so needless to say he is dear to our hearts! I have watched him grow from a baby to the young man that he is today! He is exceling in school and being an example to his younger siblings and peers!! But MOST OF ALL HE HAS ACCEPTED THE CALL OF GOD ON HIS LIFE TO BE A MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST!! WORTHY IS OUR GOD!! I thank and praise God because he could be doing hundreds of other things other than living for Christ and being a efferctive witness to others, young and old. He preached his first sermon in November of 2008 and 13 souls were baptised in Jesus name that sunday!! He realize that souls is what it is all about, saving the lost and I am thankful to God for using him. There is so much peer pressure that our youth have to face in this day and time! Last sunday which was March 1, 2009 my nephew spoke at a youth service, and alone with him were more young ministers of the gospel. There was a 15 year old and a 9 year old who also did an awesome job ministering the word of the Lord in there own way! So I am just thankful for my nephew and all youth who live for Christ in these last and evil days! Please continue to pray for my family as I pray for you and yours, God bless!Kiss

\Hello my christian brothers and sisters.  I\'m Nesaida and I would also like to introduce my children...Deishali, my youngest daughter (soon to be 17) and my grandchildren, Jonathan and Deimarize (16 and 15).  On the picture above they are as follow: My grandson is the second from the left to right, next to him is my granddaughter and my daughter is first from the right. We moved to Florida about 4 and a half years ago and we love it here.  We are regular attendees at Trinity Assembly of God in Deltona, Florida.

This year the youth ministries, Emerge, will be going to Haiti.  Today we started fundraising with a car wash.  I went and helped for about four hours...boy did I get a sunburn...and on one arm only...LOL

Youth Ministries doing fundraiser car wash

Last year my daughter took her first missions trip.  They went to Nicaragua.  It was such a blessing to her and to us all.  She's really excited about this year's trip.  It will be very challenging but she's up to it.  The Lord is working through her in many ways.  She trully enjoys being a servant of the Lord.  Can't wait to tell you all how the trip goes...so stay tuned.

Well...I guess this is it for now.  Will be posting from time to time...just trying to get a feel for this blogging thingy.  Be blessed and peace to you all!

*Power Through Prayer*
No man is greater than his prayer life.
The pastor who is not praying is playing.
The people who are not praying are straying.
The church has many organizers but few agonizers;
Many players and payers but few prayers;
Many singers, few clingers;
Lots of pastors but few wrestlers;
Many fears but few tears;
Much fashion but little passion;
Many interferers, few intercessors.
The secret of praying is praying in secret.
A sinning man will stop praying and
A praying man will stop sinning.
Prayers if profoundly simple are simply profound.
The modern church set-up has the
Main goal and anxiety on money.
Yet that which tries the modern church the most
Troubled the New Testament church the least.
Our accent is on paying;
Theirs was on praying.
There is no substitute for genuine prayer.

As you can see we need to stay in Prayer each and every day,it's the only way to keep satan under our Feet! God Loves us so much and he wants that Personal Relationship with us and to have that we Must Talk to God through his Son Jesus Christ.
Prayer is a Daily Responibility Not a Sunday one

My heart is breaking as i watch so many get distracted from spreading the Word that leads to life.

On myspace people write blogs that devour each other and it is the people that are supposed to bring the love and truth of God that brings life,

Galatians 5:14-16

For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

How sad that when Gods people truly give Gods word they get devoured but when they slander they get praised. I just find it very sad and discouraging.

Proverbs 26:17
Like one who takes a dog by the ears Is he who passes by and meddles with strife not belonging to him.

Love in Christ

Lord, I pray that You would set me free from my past. Wherever I have made the past my home, I pray that You would deliver me, heal me, and redeem me from it. Help me to let go of anything I have held onto of my past that has kept me from moving into all You have for me. Enable me to put off former ways of thinking and feeling and remembering (Ephesians 4:22-24). Give me the mind of Christ so I will be able to understand when I am being controlled by memories of past events. I release my past to You and everyone associated with it so You can restore what has been lost....(As taken from the pages of "A BOOK OF PRAYER" by Stormie Omartian)

"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new."
2 Corinthians 5:17

Lord, You said in Your Word that You store up sound wisdom for the upright (Proverbs 2:7). Help me to walk uprightly, righteously, and obediently to Your commands. May I never be wise in my own eyes, but may I always fear You. Keep me far from evil so that I can claim the health and strength Your Word promises (Proverbs 3:7-8). Give me the wisdom, knowledge, understanding , direction, and discernment I need to keep me away from the plans of evil so that I will walk safely and not stumble (Proverbs 2:10-13). Lord, I know that in You are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3). Help me to discover those treasures.

"Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
"

Long Suffering In Christ:

Long Suffering

The Suffering that Prepares Us for Grace

But may the God of all grace . . . after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

(1Pe_5:10)

Yes, suffering is often the link between the work God wants to do in us and the abundant grace that He will use to effect the work: "after you have suffered a while." Even as the perfect, sinless man, the Son of God learned valuable lessons through suffering. "Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered" (Heb_5:8). He experienced the agonies that can be involved in obeying God while dwelling in a rebellious, sinful world. He is the full example of godliness, and we are called to follow Him. "For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps" (1Pe_2:21). If we are willing to walk the path of godliness, we will suffer as well. "Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution" (2Ti_3:12). Such trials and sufferings are normal and purposeful. "Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you" (1Pe_4:12). Painful trials seem strange, but they routinely come to test and exercise our faith.

God gives grace to the humble. Trials and suffering humble our hearts and stir us to cry out to the Lord for His necessary grace. This direct link between suffering and grace can be seen in Paul's most persistent trial of suffering. "Lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me . . . Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me" (2Co_12:7-8). Paul's difficulty moved him to earnestly plead with the Lord for His intervention. The Lord responded by His grace. "And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me' " (2Co_12:9). Paul did not receive the healing grace that he sought. However, he experienced the sustaining grace that God often chooses to impart in times of suffering. Through His grace, God changed Paul's heart, not his circumstances.

O God of all grace, make me willing to endure the suffering that is necessary to prepare my heart for the transforming work of Your grace. Also, during sufferings and trials, please remind of the work You are doing, in Jesus name, Amen.

Be Well, Pray Delingently, Give God All The Credit.

Until next time, God bless.        David

Hi this is Samantha Im not very good at writing or much else but i do have a heart that longs to love and honor God with all that i am.

I'm not ignorant of Gods Word or what genuine love is, so i was wondering if you might bear with me as i share a bit of my thoughts as i pour out my heart with tears and genuine love for you all .

There has been a lot of opposition to the Word of God as i post it on here, and what suprises me is its from people who profess to follow and love Him.

As Christ followers we no longer live for self but for Him who bought us with His precious blood so that it is no longer us that lives but Christ who lives in us. He is who we represent if we truly belong to Him.

Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Will everyone treat us nice if we live for Christ? No!

2 Timothy 3:12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

John 15:20 "Remember the word that I said to you, 'A slave is not greater than his master ' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

John 15:18-20 "If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.
"If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.

How can we endure whats to come upon all who love and serve Christ? Because we love Him above all.

Just as we will give up everything for that special person we fell in love with so will we give up everything to please Him who we as Christians love above all. And just as we do what pleases the person we fell in love with we will even more please and long to obey the one who has given all for us who dont deserve it. Does it mean you are living by works of the law if you obey Him? are you living by works of the law if you do what pleases your spouse because you love him or her? how rediculous!!!!!!!!! Then why do people think they are living by works of the law if they do what pleases the one they supposedly love more than anyone?

How does one say they follow Christ and refuse to believe His Word when we are supposed to represent Him in all things? you cant

According to the Word of God how do you know that you love Him?

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, " If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.

According to Gods Word who does not love Him?

John 14:24 "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me.

What is the greatest commandment?

Mark 12:30-31 AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.' "The second is this, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

So according to the Word of God ! if we love Him we obey His Word and according to the above you are to love Him with your mind ( things you think upon! ) Plus all your strength soul and heart which includes all of you period!

According to Gods Word we are to love our neighbor as ourselves and according to another scripture we are even to love our enemies!

Question?

If someone knew about the tuth of Christ and didnt tell their neighbor and everyone they had a chance to tell would they be loving them? let me put it another way!

If someone ended up in torment forever because you were so concerned they wouldnt like you if you told them the truth would you be loving them?

Wouldnt that be like saying you love them and then and then throwing them into a fire to burn forever? YES IT WOULD!!!!

Do you love God and others? Do you truly follow Christ and represent Him or do you follow the traditions and teachings of men?

Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,

Im not a very good writer but my point is that if you love God you will live for Him and all you do will be for His glory and not what you can get away with and still not go to hell, If we love Him we want to please Him over and above anyone no matter what!

So many use the works salvation as an excuse not to obey Him, but the truth is that according to Gods word is that they dont love Him at all, they dont want to be accountable for their actions.

Faith without works is dead because when we truly love God we will have the actions that follow our faith.

James 2:14-26 What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? Even so )faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.
But someone may well say, "You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works." You believe that God is one You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.
But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?
You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected; and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "AND ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS," and he was called the friend of God.
You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.
In the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

Theres a big difference between works of the law and works that come from love through faith!

Try to do everything that displeases the one you love and then tell me they will think you love them!!! NOT!! You try to please the one you love and you know it.

John 15:8 "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

All for the Love of Christ

Christ came to set you Free from the Bondage of sin, NOT make you Free ‘to sin'! He Died on the Cross so you can DIE with Him to your Old Self and Start over in Newness of Life. Freedom From sin is NOT Freedom to Sin! Who the Son Sets Free is FREE INDEED! He who Sins is of the Devil! Christ came to Destroy the Works of the devil.

John 8:31-32.. So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

Salvation from sin does not happen by Degrees or gradually over time. The Old Man Must be put to Death in the Process of Repentance.
‘I am Crucified with Christ! It is no long I who live, But Christ who Lives in me!' How could you take something Corrupted and un-corrupt it by Degrees? You have to rid yourself of the corruption! God has Instructed man to do so if he is to be Redeemed by Grace!

Romans 6:4-6
Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;

Galatians 5:24
Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
‘Lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness and RECEIVE with meekness the implanted Word that is ABLE to SAVE your soul! Become a Doer of the Word, not just a hearer, Deceiving yourself!'

James 2:21-22 ...Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected;

James 1:22 ...But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

You can't ‘Get Saved' and remain Double-minded, Divided in heart and serving two Masters! Would you expect to be forgiven of Adultery while you are STILL DOING it? WHY then Do you THINK God will Grant you Mercy while you remain addicted to booze, drugs, pornography, immorality? You are a SLAVE to WHO you Obey! Obey Sin, Slave to Sin, which equal Death. Obey God, His Slave, which leads to Righteousness. There's Nothing Mysterious about Righteousness. It is Simply DOING the RIGHT Thing By Faith! The Principle behind this Faith is ACTION.

James 1:8
being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Romans 6:15-18.. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

1 John 3:7-10
Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

James 2:24
You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.

DEEDS Prove your Repentance and Establish your Faith, Otherwise you are believing to no effect.

‘Getting Saved' is a Radical Departure from your Old Life. ALL Things Become NEW! Not some Things, Not by Degree, ALL....Transformed when you encounter the Risen Christ in Reality. The Old Man cannot be reformed, cannot Please God in any fashion whatsoever! The Eyes of the Understanding Must be OPEN to Spiritual Truth BEFORE you can be led into More & Deeper Truth by the Spirit of Truth.

Acts 20:21
solemnly testifying to both Jews and Greeks of repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 26:20
but kept declaring both to those of Damascus first, and also at Jerusalem and then throughout all the region of Judea, and even to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance.

Romans 3:31
Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law.

Romans 8:6-9
For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Ephesians 1:18
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

The Corrupted Tree Cannot Produce Good Fruit. A polluted stream can only produce impure water. The Light in you CANNOT Co-exit with Darkness or you will be FULL of Darkness! The Lord Cannot Receive an Unclean Vessel and fill it with His Spirit. The House Must be Sweep, Scrubbed, Cleaned, with all vileness, ignorance and sin CAST out of Doors, BEFORE the Spirit can Come in! THIS is What Salvation is in the Bible. FREEDOM From Sin, NOT Freedom to sin! Conversion to Christ will Produce a NEW TREE with PURE Fruit! The Axe of Repentance was Laid to the ROOT of sin, not merely its branches.

Growth Cannot begin until the incorruptible Seed is Planted and LIFE springs forth!

Matthew 3:10
"The axe is already laid at the root of the trees; therefore every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Matthew 7:15-20
"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. "You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? "So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. "A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. "So then, you will know them by their fruits.

Matthew 13:43-45
"Then THE RIGHTEOUS WILL SHINE FORTH AS THE SUN in the kingdom of their Father He who has ears, let him hear. "The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls,

2 Corinthians 6:16-18
Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,
"I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM;
AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.
"Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord.
"AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN;And I will welcome you.
"And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,"
Says the Lord Almighty.

1 Peter 1:18-19
knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

But Almost everyone today in the so-called Christian World thinks that God Saves you in your sins and then cleans you up later as you allow Him. Therefore the Old Man of Sin is in Control! The entire System is setup to accommodate this Man of Sin and to try to Reform him. The Program is designed to Please, Comfort and Cuddle him. All the time assuring him that he is SAVED and Forgiven in Jesus, Pronounced Righteous by Faith, if he merely TRUSTS that everything has been done for him in advance to Secure the outcome of his Salvation.

The Foregone Conclusion of every Bible Passage on the Subject of Salvation by Faith, is the Sin will NEVER Stop! God can Grant Grace enough to Call you, Draw you to Himself, Compel you to Come, Even Decide for you, BUT NOT Grace enough to eradicate the Sin in your heart! According to the Doctrine Professed Christians are being taught today (and basing their eternal life on it!) the Root of Sin CANNOT be Removed in this Life! You will sin Everyday for the remainder of your life, in Thought, Word and Deed, and Still go to Heaven when you die Because you BELIEVE in Jesus!

WHO has it Correct? You Like what the Preachers are saying because it Pleases your flesh, makes no Demands, sets no Conditions.
You're Saved because you Trust! You don't have to DO Anything! Could anyone make a Better deal than that? But you DON'T Like what Jesus is Saying because it makes TOO many Demands and Sets to Harsh of Conditions! (Lk13:24)
The Flesh has to be Crucified! (the last thing the flesh wants to do is Die!) Why do you think Professed Christians are so Selfish, Self-Centered and greedy? Because they LOVE God and are KEEPING His Commandments!? Don't Kid yourself!

Luke 13:24
"Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

John 15:14
"You are My friends if you do what I command you.

They are ACTING OUT Exactly what they Are! Self-Centered, Selfish SINNERS! In most cases, Following the Example of their Pastors who are Teaching them these things. These professed Christians have no Idea what it means to Follow Jesus, Deny Self, Take up their Cross or Count the Cost. They think Contending for the faith is Cooking Dinner at the church, having a Picnic or baking cookies to help pay the electric bill! They are CLUELESS Because they are LOST.

Luke 9:23
And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

Luke 14:28
"For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?

How much Scorn and Contempt will have to be Heaped upon the Precious Name of Jesus before you will admit this MESS has NOTHING to do with being a Christian and the Bible is Not Subject to you personal opinions? If you want to Think that you're going to heaven when you die because you Believe in something, that's your choice.
BUT WHY must you Insist on Dragging Jesus into the mire with you!!? Making Him a Minister of your sin, an Excuse for your inability to do anything Right? WHY Do you Call on His Name and ask for Health, Wealth and prosperity and then SPIT in His Face when He Demands you OBEY HIM? Do you Really Think He is going to Live in the Pig Pen with You?

WHERE DID Jesus Say you Could Come to Him IN YOUR SINS? If you are basing your eternal life on this, you had BETTER be able to SHOW Hard Evidence in the BIBLE that HE Preached the Gospel in this Manner and Granted Mercy to people while they were still sinning.
Don't go running off to your favorite preachers for answers, for ONCE in your Life follow the Master's Instructions and DIG DEEP!!!
Pretend you have Lost a Gold Coin Worth a Million Dollars and you would turn over heaven and earth to find it!

Luke 6:48
he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.

Matthew 13:44-46
"The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls, and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.

ONLY Then will there be the Slightest Possibility you could come out of your Strong Delusion and Find that Treasure of Great Price and then PRESS your Way through that Narrow Gate to Eternal Life!

Matthew 7:13-14... "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

It is amazing how we let things get in the way of what is important. I have been trying to put God first in all things, and this week with new classes, Mom etc, it has been busy. It was God who enabled me to go to college online through the University of Phoenix and He is the one who is going to get me through each day with everything we do.

Busyness can be distracting,

It can lead you away from the things that you considered important

leaving you following an empty trail. Then you wonder, "Where did I

miss it?"

Satan will use this busyness to keep you out of God's will,

He doesn't want to wind up in hell alone, he wants company

and he will try to get you if you do not watch out.

Like a roaring lion he roams all around, searching what he can

destroy.

Fall back on God and fight, let Him be your commander in chief, and follow his leading in all things, God will keep you from the snare the devil is trying to set for you.

Never forget, we belong to God, and what belongs to God, satan wants

to destroy.

God bless.

Linda

1 Cor. 6:19 What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God and you are not your own.

THANK YOU FOR THE NIGHT AND THE REST GIVEN ME

THE DAY IS DAWNING FAST, IT BELONGS TO THEE.

LORD I AM THINE

BODY, SPIRIT, AND MIND

LORD REMOVE ME, MYSELF, AND I

LET SELF COMPLETELY DIE

GOD'S KINGDOM  HAS ENTERED MY HEART

TO LIVE, HIS LOVE HE WILL IMPART

BY LOSING MY LIFE I WILL GAIN

LIFE AS A CHILD OF GOD, AN HEIR WITH CHRIST I REMAIN

A NEW BORN BABE IN GOD'S GREAT HAND

MOLD ME TO FULFILL YOUR WILL AND PLAN

YOUR COMMANDS I WILL OBEY

TRUSTING AND BELIEVING YOU EACH AND EVERY DAY.

THE LIGHT OF CHRIST SHINES THROUGH ME

GODLY ATTRIBUTES MY FATHER WILL DISPLAY FOR ALL TO SEE

I AM TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF THE MIND

ORDAINED AND TAUGHT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT DIVINE

TRIALS AND TEMPTATIONS I DAILY GO THROUGH

TEMPERED AND TRIED IN ALL I THINK AND DO

A CONTINUOUS BATTLE I FIGHT IN HUMAN STRIFE

FLESH VERSUS SPIRIT, I CANNOT SERVE  BOTH IN LIFE.

KEEP ME HUMBLE AND MEEK IN ALL I SAY AND DO

I WILL SERVE AND HONOR MY FATHER REGARDLESS OF WHAT I GO THROUGH

I WILL BE CONTENT IN WHATEVER STATE I AM IN

KNOWING GOD'S PEACE AND LOVE DWELLS WITHIN

THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT THROUGH CHRIST I WILL DISPLAY

RESISTING SATAN AND HIS DECEIVING WAY

A LIFE WITHOUT CHRIST WOULD BE VAIN

WHAT WOULD BE MY PROFIT IF THE WORLD I GAIN

GOD IS ABOVE ALL THAT IS ON THIS EARTH

NO ONE OR NOTHING CAN COMPARE OF BE WORTH.

There is a kingdom and a place not far from where you are right now, and in this kingdom and in this place there are very special people. Now these people are special because they consider their most valuable possession to be their hearts. In fact some of the people are able to hold their hearts in their hands - a very special gift indeed - and even if a heart gets broken it may be repaired at the local heart specialist. These people believe that all of their actions should flow from their hearts.

Now in this kingdom there lived a young man who claimed to have a perfect heart. He was very proud of his heart because it had no cracks or scars. It was very solid and could not be hurt or penetrated by anything at all. One day the young man was showing his perfect heart to a large group of people - something which he did quite often. People came from miles around to see his perfect heart and for such occasions he kept it locked in a beautiful glass case. No one in the kingdom dared touch him or his perfect heart. They just looked at him in amazement for there was no one else like him in the entire kingdom.

Suddenly a frail voice arose from the crowd and said: "My heart is more beautiful than yours."

The crowd was quiet for a moment, and finally the young man laughed at such a claim for he was sure perfection was the most beautiful thing in the world. When his laughter subsided, he said to the person with the frail voice: "Come out of the crowd and show me your beautiful heart. Compare it to mine!" The young man was sure there could be no comparison, but he enjoyed the attention immensely. Slowly the source of the frail voice appeared as a little old man emerged from the crowd. He was bent with age and his face was covered with lines that told the story of a long and sometimes difficult life.

The young man spoke arrogantly to him saying: "Let me see your heart, Old Man, so I can compare it to mine." The old man did not speak - he simply showed his heart to everyone in the crowd. He did not keep his heart in a fine glass case, but he carried it with him at all times. He merely stood before the crowd gently holding his heart in his old wrinkled hands. The young man immediately began to laugh when he saw the old heart. "That is the ugliest heart I've ever seen. Why it's made of pieces that don't even fit together perfectly. You are a fool, Old Man!" When he said this, everyone laughed.

The old man began to speak again, and his frail voice could hardly be heard by the people in the crowd. "Many years ago my heart was like yours. Yes, it was perfect - but that was before I knew the meaning of love. My heart had no cracks. It had never been hurt. It was just another part of me, but soon I began to learn what love was all about and that's when my heart began to change." The young man began to laugh, but a little girl in the crowd cried out: "Be quiet and let this old man tell us his story."

So the young man stopped laughing, and the old man continued to speak as his heart tottered back and forth in his hands. "No, my heart does not look perfect because it is not my heart alone. You see whenever I love another person, I give him a piece of my heart and he gives me a piece of his. We cannot be separated - not even by death. In fact, when someone I love dies, part of me dies with them and yet at the same time part of that person lives on in me, and I am able to share that person's love and life with others.

So to you, my heart may look very ugly and funny because of the strange shapes that it is made of, but to me it is beautiful because I carry within my heart the love of many people whom I have loved and who have loved me in return. By the standards of the world it is not perfect, but the heart does not exist by worldly standards..... It lives because of love, and is measured by love." He looked at the young man and said: "Yes, your heart is perfect to look at, but it has not yet known real love, so it lacks the beauty that only love can provide."

The crowd stood silent, and waited for the young man to respond when finally he said: "Old Man, you have explained the various odd shapes that make up your heart, but you have not explained the meaning of the ugly cracks."

Again the old man spoke with a sigh: "Whenever you love someone you take a risk, and sometimes it can cause a great deal of pain because we can hurt one another so easily - but love is not known unless those risks are taken. The cracks that you see are reminders of the times when I have been hurt by one of the persons I have loved, or when I have hurt one of them. Some take their love away and remove themselves from your heart and remove you from their hearts. It is things like this that cause those cracks to appear. Yes, it sometimes hurts to love, but you must keep on loving even when it is painful. Love can be a cause of both laughter and of tears, and sometimes you can't understand the cause of either the laughter or the tears. They are just a part of your real love - and, throughout, you continue to hold your friends in your heart which is the most delicate and sensitive part of your entire self.

By this time the young man was crying very hard, for he had come to realize he was always so busy with his perfect heart that he had never loved anyone nor had he allowed anyone to love him. He removed his heart from his special glass case and held it in his hand. It was very cold and hard to touch. Tears flowed over his heart, and he was extremely sad because he did not know the meaning of real love. He only knew about perfection. Just as he was about to leave the crowd and go away from the kingdom to hide forever, he noticed the old man hobbling toward him. The young man looked up and saw the old man reaching towards the oddly shaped heart that was in his wrinkled venerable hands. The old man had removed a very ancient piece of his heart and offered it to the young man. He said: "This is a piece of my heart. I give it to you out of real love. Please accept it."

The young man reached out to accept the piece of the old man's heart. He quickly tried to make it a part of his own, but he soon realized that there was no room for it. He was puzzled for a moment until he looked at the old man and saw the answer in his caring eyes. Then the young man nervously removed a piece of his own heart and offered it to the old man.

Now the old man's heart was so oddly shaped that the piece he had given to the young man did not fit perfectly into his heart, but the young man simply set it in its place and looked at it through tears of real joy. For the first time in his life he really felt happy and he realized his heart was no longer cold and hard but it was now soft and warm. He finally had a happy heart - one that new the meaning of love. The young man and the old man set their hearts in their rightful places and they were both very happy. The crowd cheered and cried aloud.

The young man told his teacher that he wanted to follow him for the rest of his life, but the wise old man said: "No, my son, you must not follow me. Now that you have learned of real love you must go forth and share it with others. You must share your love, as I have shared mine, throughout the kingdom." The young man felt very sad again, and he was sure that his heart was beginning to break, but the old man spoke again: "You must remember that we always carry one another in our hearts no matter where we go. That's what makes them so beautiful, and we will always be together because of that." The young man knew the old man was right. He walked up to him. They embraced and then went off in different directions to spread the meaning of real love throughout the kingdom.

The young man may still be found traveling throughout the kingdom telling his story about the meaning of real love. He has never returned his heart to the glass case. Now he keeps it in its rightful place willing to show it to all who wish to see it. Night and day he rejoices over his heart, now oddly shaped but very beautiful. If you ever meet him, he will surely tell you this story of how he learned that love is so much more beautiful than perfection. Perhaps you have already met him - if not look around - he may be close to you right now for there is a kingdom and a place not far from where you are right now... and in this kingdom there are very special people.

Jesus Christ took our place on the cross. His great sacrifice requires our praise:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:3-6).

Pray this confession to the Lord as you seek to keep your life free from sin:
"Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen"
(Matthew 6:11-13).

Confess any sins that the Holy Spirit brings to your mind.

Now pray this affirmation to the Lord:
Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints!
For the Lord preserves the faithful,
And fully repays the proud person.
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the Lord (Psalm 31:23-24).

As you make your requests known to the Lord, include:
-- Greater gratitude for Christ's sacrifice
-- Your neighbors' spiritual well being
-- Whatever else is on your heart

Offer this closing prayer to God:
Oh, how great is Your goodness,
Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
In the presence of the sons of men! (Psalm 31:19).

BILLY GRAHAM
Current Age: 90
Truth...........from a man the media has never been able to throw dirt on.....amazing!
He has certainly hit the "world" on the head!

Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

THIS MAN SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!'

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One nation under God!'

Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone on your e-mail list, in less than 30 days it would be heard by the world. (It's worth a try!) 'One Nation Under God!

26 Guards!

Have you ever felt the urge to pray for someone and then just put it on a list and said, "I'll pray for them later?"

Or has anyone ever called you and said, "I need you to pray for me, I have this need?"

Read the following story that was sent to me. May it change the way that you may think about prayer and also the way you pray. You will be blessed by this.

A missionary on furlough told this true story while visiting his home church in Michigan, USA.

"While serving at a small field hospital in Africa, every two weeks I travelled by bicycle through the jungle to a nearby city for supplies. This was a journey of two days and required camping overnight at the halfway point. On one of these journeys, I arrived in the city where I planned to collect money from a bank, purchase medicine and supplies, and then begin my two-day journey back to the field hospital. Upon arrival in the city, I observed two men fighting, one of whom had been seriously injured. I treated him for his injuries and, at the same time, talked to him about the Lord. I then travelled two days, camping overnight, and arrived home without incident.

Two weeks later I repeated my journey. Upon arriving in the city, I was approached by the young man I had treated. He told me that he had known I carried money and medicines. He said, "Some friends and I followed you into the jungle, knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs. But just as we were about to move into your camp, we saw that you were surrounded by 26 guards. At this I laughed and said that I was certainly all alone in that jungle campsite. The young man pressed the point, however, and said, "No sir, I was not the only person to see the guards. My five friends also saw them, and we all counted them. It was because of those guards that we were afraid and left you alone.

At this point in the sermon (that I was delivering in Michigan), one of the men in the congregation jumped to his feet and interrupted the missionary and asked if he could tell him the exact day this happened.

The missionary told the congregation the date, and the man who interrupted told him this story: "On the night of your incident in Africa, it was morning here and I was preparing to go play golf. I was about to putt when I felt the urge to pray for you. In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong that I called men in this church to meet with me here in the sanctuary to pray for you. Would all of those men who met with me on that day stand up?"

The men who had met together to pray that day stood up. The missionary wasn't concerned with who they were, he was too busy counting how many men he saw. There were 26!

This story is an incredible example of how the Spirit of the Lord moves in mysterious ways. If you ever hear such prodding, go along with it. Nothing is ever hurt by prayer, except the gates of hell. I encourage you to forward this to as many people as you know. If we all take it to heart, we can turn this world toward God once again.

As the above true story clearly illustrates, "With God all things are possible," and more importantly, how God hears and answers the prayers of the faithful.

After you read this, please pass it on and give God thanks for the beautiful gift of your faith, for the powerful gift of prayer, and for the many miracles He works in your own daily life.

*JESUS DID IT*

. .. ...But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men..

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross..

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name..

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth..

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father..

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling..

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure..

Do all things without murmurings and disputings..

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world... .. .

-Philippians 2:7-14 ((KJV))

NOTE:NOW IF JESUS DID IT,THEN WHY DO WE THINK & ACT LIKE WERE BETTER THAN HIM???:?:?:?

"STOP PUTTING PEOPLE ON A PEDESTAL !!"
WHY IS IT THAT PEOPLE SAY THAT A MINISTER SHOULDNT DO CERTAIN THINGS ? THIS IS TRUE,BUT WE AS CHRISTIANS SHOULDNT DO CERTAIN THINGS EITHER,BUT WE DO,SO HOW RELEVANT IS THAT ? I NOTICED THAT PEOPLE ARE QUICK TO POINT FINGERS AT THE PASTORS,PREACHERS,AND MINISTERS,TEACHERS AND PROPHETS AND BE READY TO CRUCIFY THEM AND KICK THEM OUT OF THE CHURCH WHEN THEY MESS UP,(WHICH MESSING UP IS HUMAN). BUT THEN WHEN THEY TURN AROUND AND SIN THEMSELVES AND MESS UP(WHICH IS HUMAN) ALL THEY SAY IS"GOD WILL FORGIVE ME" OR "ILL JUST TAKE IT TO THE ALTER" WELL GUESS WHAT ? GOD WILL DO THE SAME FOR ME AND FOR THE LEADERS OF THE CHRISTIAN BODY TOO.(STOP PUTTING PEOPLE ON A PETASTOOL)! TAKE ME FOR INSTANCE, I CAN SAY 99 GOOD THINGS AND 1 BAD THING AND THE WHOLE FOCUS WILL BE ON THAT 1 BAD THING (WE ALL KNOW WHO MOTIVATES THAT TYPE OF ATTITUDE-satan-)
COME ON PEOPLE LETS KEEP IT REAL IM HUMAN TOO. PEOPLE ARE TO QUICK TO POINT OUT A FALL ,BUT WILL IGNORE THE GOOD THINGS OF ALL THE TIME I LIFTED YOU UP,NOT TO SAY THAT ALL I DO IS RIGHT,CAUSE YES IM GOING TO LET THE TRUTH BE KNOWN(ITS ONLY RIGHT),JUST AS IM PRETTY SURE YOU PEOPLE WILL DO THE SAME. I KNOW SOME OF THE PEOPLE ARE SAYING THAT ON CERTAIN SITUATIONS THAT I SHOULDNT SAY ANYTHING,BUT THESE ARE PROBABLY THE SAME PEOPLE THAT WILL SLICE YOUR THROAT FOR MAKING A MISTAKE OF STEPPING ON THEIR TOES
LIKE I SAID IVE NEVER PROFESSED TO BE PERFECT, NOR HAVE I EVER SAID I WAS GOD,NOR THE SAVIOR. BUT I WAS SENT HERE TO ALERT THE PEOPLE OF GOD AND TO TEACH THE "WHOLE TRUTH OF GOD" AND NOT TO JUST TEACH THE PARTS OF THE BIBLE THAT MAKES ME OR YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE,BUT TO TEACH YOU THE WHOLE BIBLE ! REMEMBER LOVE AND DISCIPLINE GO HAND-N-HAND;)

Conviction.....

One of the most difficult trials we face in our walk with Christ is to sit back and watch those we love, going through conviction.  Hmmm well, yes THEY NEED to go through it.  I prayed and I consoled, then I prayed and shared scripture,  Then as the one in CHRIST I had to realize that I was possibly interfering.  Not a good thing.  I firmly believe my Lord will nudge, and nudge and nudge until those He is nudging no longer feel the nudge or have grown cold to the touch and it is then that the Conviction gets more severe.  It is then that I want to reach out, console, comfort, to help them deal with it but it is THEN that I realized, I HAVE TO STEP BACK.  I have to remove myself, even to the point of avoiding subjects and topics on any conversation of ANY PART of the issue that the conviction is dealing with.   In fact at times I just have to avoid the person all together.

Conviction is GOD dealing with a person.  It is not for me to interfere, intervene, in fact there are no words, no actions on my part that should take place. It should be all GOD... ALL GOD.   Perhaps at times yes, God gives me scripture to share but seldom are they loving and kind.  In fact many times they are scriptures that simply remind the other person of things such as the fact that when a person goes against one with CHRIST IN them, that person is going against CHRIST.   Tough love?  Hmmmmmmmm perhaps.  However GOD deals with us as individuals and on each issue, differently.

So conviction......... GOD'S TIME OUT......... GOD'S CORNER.........    I just back completely away, LET GOD work and only feed the one in time out, scripture,  God's word.  Remember........... many times when WE preach the word to a person, they only hear our human side, not GOD in us because either THEY don't have enough GOD in them to see GOD in us or simply perhaps because they are so deep in the bog of selp pity and confusion that they are either trying to justify their actions still or justify the feeling that the conviction is forcing upon them.

Either way....... Conviction is GOD'S time with another........ which means it is OUR time to step away and LET GOD deal with them.

Praise GOD for His Convictions ... for they not only teach the one in conviction but they teach us to REALLY let go and let HIM WORK.

Praise His Holy Name.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for entrusting me with the seed of YOUR Son, Jesus Christ, whom you have firmly planted in me. Thank you for your unconditional love, for the healthy puppies and ponies, for the energy and health to be able to get up one more morning again and care for their needs, bask in their love, the true Unconditional Love that YOU, dear Lord, speak of in Corinthians.

Father, Thank you for overseeing my progress with my tutors and governors that you have appointed to nurture my walk with You.  Father YOU know my heart, my needs, my wants, YOU have shown me several times now that I just need to THINK it for a brief second and you DO grant our wants, you fill our hearts Lord.  You hold my heart in your hands gently.

Dear Precious Savior on this glorious day, please stay close by my side and guide my way.

You know of the turmoil that stirs deep in my heart, You have been always there for me, right from the start.

Lord I put all of my trust and my life in your hands, no matter the circumstance, or life's demands.

Dear precious Savior, hear my plea to grow stronger, to ward off the emotions I can't face any longer.

Heal my heart and dear Father, as soon as his breaks, step in and take charge, whatever it takes.

Lord I know only you can put the trust in my heart again, but until that day comes, I just want to be friends.

Father YOU I do feel, stopped the first attempt at divorce, I will do as you wish if Your plan takes that course.

Oh please, my dear Savior, give me strength to endure, to keep my heart guarded so that it stays pure.

I am yours, Lord and Father, it is YOU that I seek, Come to me quickly, Please let me hear you speak.

Oh Father, my Father I will do whatever you say, take my hand, take my heart, and YOU lead my way.

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't
always what they seem."

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen?

The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused. The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die. "Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied.

"When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't
find it."

"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem."

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage.

You might not know it until some time later...

"WHEN I DONT SEE ANSWERS TO MY PRAYERS"

Lord, I worship You as the all-knowing and all-powerful God of the universe. You are Immanuel, God with us. Thank You that You are always with me. Thank You that Your presence frees me from all doubt and gives me increased faith. Thank You that You hear my prayers and will answer in Your time and in Your way. You, Lord, are without limitations. I don't want to limit Your working in my life by my own faithlessness. Help me to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer (Romans 12:12 NIV). I know that You have called me to pray, but I also know that answering prayers is Your job. Help my heart to rest in You.....

"Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving."
Colossians 4:2

PRAYER: Do you expect an answer?
Current mood:  blessed
Category: Religion and Philosophy Isaiah 1:15-17

15.  When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you;  Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear.  Your hands are full of blood.

16.  Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean.  Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.  Cease to do evil.

17.  Learn to do good;  Seek justice.  Rebuke the oppressor;  Defend the fatherless;  Plead for the widow.

There are prayers God will not hear.

We have just read it!  When we ignore God's word and continue to do evil (worldly) things, we cannot expect God to hear us when we pray.

Do we:
1.  Seek Justice?
2.  Rebuke the oppressor?
3.  Defend the fatherless?
4.  Plead for the widow?

Or do we put them down, look down our nose at them and say:  Get a job.  I have to work, let them work.  If I help them they will just use the money for drugs.  They can do better.

Don't you know that when God puts someone on your heart and brings someones needs to your attention, He is wanting to use you and that He is working with that person?

Saul was a murderer, he persecuted Christians, but just look what God did!  He brought Saul into His presence on the road to Damascus, then God changed Saul's name to Paul and used him in a mighty way.  God works all things together for the good of those who love Him.  God heard the prayers of the Christians and instead of wiping Saul off the face of the earth, changed Saul's heart and used him for God's glory.  Praise God!!

Who are we to judge?  We do not know what God has in store for anyone!  We only know what we see and what we hear people say.  Only God knows the heart of the people.  Only God can heal spiritually and change lives.  He does not want anyone to perish and knows exactly what needs to be done to accomplish His purpose.

God has told us:
 1.  Do not Gossip
 2.  Do not lie
 3.  Do not cheat
 4.  Do not steal
 5.  Do not dishonor our parents
 6.  Do not judge
 7.  Do not ignore the poor, needy, widows, orphans, sick, or those in prison.
 8.  Do not covet (want things, or what other people have)
 9.  Do not  commit adultery
10.  Do not be self righteous

These are just a few of the things God has told us not to do.  He has told us:  Faith without works is dead, and works without faith is dead.

We cannot work our way to heaven, but when we have God's love in our hearts, we love Him so much we want to do what He tells us.

When we say, here am I Lord send me, He takes us at our word.  Do not say this unless you are sure this is what you mean.  Consider the cost!

If you want God to hear your prayers, put away all evil ways, wash yourselves, make yourselves clean, keep God's commandments.

Those who have ears to hear, let them hear.

What is true and pure love?

Close your heart to every love but mine; hold no one in your arms but me; Love is as powerful as death; passion is as strong as death itself. It bursts into flame and burns like a raging fire. Water cannot put it out; no flood can drown it. But if any tried to buy love with their wealth, contempt is all they would get. - Songs Of Songs 8:6-7 A man can inherit a house and riches from his parents, but only the LORD can give him a sensible wife. - Proverbs 19:14 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts minds through Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6,7 what's true & pure love?

"Fear not!"

The angel spoke these words to Zachariah, to Mary, to Joseph, and finally to a group of shepherds on a hillside outside a small town.

On that first Christmas, the world was in desperate times. The majority of the world was under Roman rule and, a census was being conducted, causing a mass exodus to each man's city of birth.

Inside a cave, warmed only from the heat of the animals, in the small town of Bethlehem sat a carpenter and his young wife.

Far from home, and cold, She is in labor. Her child is to be born in a stable, of all places. Why is it like this? she may have asked.

Then she recalls the angel's words to her, 'Do not fear, Mary, for you have found favor with God.'

On the windswept hillsides outside of Bethlehem , shepherds, the lowest caste if people, huddling against the cool air, are the only ones to be told of the birth.

All of a sudden the sky lights up with the Glory of God and an angel appears to them proclaiming:

"Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."

The shepherds' fear is turned to joy as they hear news that a Savior is born. In Bethlehem, the city of David. Could it be the Messiah?

They ran down the hillsides into the town and search from stable to stable until they find the Child just as the angel had said.

For there, laying in a manger, wrapped in swaddling clothes, was the Savior himself.

As a infant he was visited by Magi, wise men who had come from the east searching for the king of the Jews. A paranoid and murderous Herod the Great, King of Judea, to protect his throne, ordered the death of all male Jews, 2 years old and younger, sending the young savior's family into exile in Egypt.

We don't know much of his childhood. He learned the trade of a carpenter. He grew in wisdom and knowledge. Enough that when he was twelve years old the religious leaders marveled at his understanding of the scriptures.

He never wrote a book nor did he ever hold an office.

He never owned a house or raised a family.

He never traveled more than two hundred miles from the place where he was born.

He did none of the things usually associated with greatness.

When he was about 30 Jesus began his ministry. Teaching the ways of God, often challenging the religious leaders.

When He was only thirty three the tide of public opinion turned against him. His followers ran away and even denied knowing him.

was turned over to his enemies and went through the mockery of a trial. Then, after suffering beatings that left him unrecognizable, He was nailed to a cross between two thieves.

Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.
Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.
Had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, but, after 3 days he rose again and He lives today.

Nearly 2,000 years have come and gone, yet, he is still the central figure for much of the human race.

In every nation in the world, though in some it must be done in secret, his birth is celebrated each year.

All the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, all the rulers that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man on this earth as much as Jesus.

Our world doesn't know this. They think that Christmas is about gifts under a tree and a spirit of good cheer, with Christmas dinner and family around the table. But as good as all that may be, it isn't nearly as wondrous as the Real meaning of Christmas.

The Real Christmas message is this: God has sent a Savior for you. To save you from your sins and to help you in this life, To lift your burden and ease your fears.

That's it! That's what it's all about.

For unto you is born this day , in the city of David, a Savior who is Christ the Lord.

**WAKE UP !**

"YOU HAVE BEEN PICKED OUT TO BE PICKED ON AND YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO BE REFINED"

NO MATTER WHAT YOUR GOING THROUGH,YOUR FATHER IS BIGGER THAN ANYTHING YOU CAN ENDURE IN YOUR LIFE TIME. ITS NOT ENOUGH TO JUST SAY THAT YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN,BUT WE ARE TO BE HEARERS AND DOERS OF THE WORD OF GOD,AND THIS INCLUDES "HAVING" AND "MOVING" ON FAITH! FOR MANY YEARS I PROCLAIMED TO BE A CHRISTIAN,CLAIMING A TITLE WITHOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THAT TITLE. GOD IS NOT LOOKING AT WHAT COMES OUT OF YOUR MOUTH,NOR WHAT YOU WRITE DOWN THROUGH WORDS,BUT HES LOOKING AT THE ACTIONS YOU PRODUCE.WE SPEND ABOUT 2/3 OF OUR LIVES COMPLAINING,INSTEAD OF THANKING GOD FOR THE THINGS THAT WE DO HAVE AND WHEN THINGS DONT GO ACCORDING TO "OUR" PLANS WE WANT TO BLAME GOD,WHEN IN FACT IT IS OUR ACTIONS THAT BRING THE CURSES IN OUR LIVES.BUT I TELL YOU NOW THAT THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN STOP YOU IS YOU. START LEARNING HOW TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITIES FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS AND START DOING "GODS WILL" AND WATCH GOD MOVE IN YOUR SITUATIONS AND CIRCUMSTANCES!

DEUT.28:1-2 SAYS--1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

(BUT ON THE OTHER SIDE)
DEUT.28:15 SAYS--15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

NOTE:COME ON PEOPLE STOP BLAMING OTHERS FOR YOUR DOWN FALLS AND TAKE A LOOK IN YOUR SPIRITUAL MIRROR!

When considering the validity of the Christian faith, or any other worldview, for the truth on reality the analysis must begin on what the foundation of the worldview is. For Christians our foundation is the Holy Bible. Muslims rely on the Qu'ran, the Hadith, and the Sura, Buddhists use the teaching of Buddha, and so on. Skeptics make attacks on the Bible in many ways. Whether the claim of contradiction or the claim of forgery is made, the fact remains that the Christian faith is under attack. Scrutiny in itself is not bad, it would be illogical to accept anything that claims absolute truth blindly. When scrutinizing the Bible the appearance of a contradiction may be unearthed, however taking into context culture differences, grammatical usage and the context are these contradictions revealed in harmony. The books in the New Testament have received their fair share of skepticism. The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, have been questioned for their original authorship whether the prior claims are indeed legitimate or indeed a forgery, and in this post I hope to briefly answer some of those arguments.

One area considered is the time frame in which the books were written; a very valid aspect to approach. Papias mentions that the Gospel of Matthew was written during Paul and Peter's missions in setting up new churched. Papias was writing roughly thirty to forty years after the Gospel of Matthew was written. Majority of New Testament scholars believe that all four Gospels were written in the first century (Matthew ~ 80 , Mark ~ 65-70 , Luke ~ 85 , John ~ 90-95, all of which are arbitrary guesses). In regards to Jesus Christ how valid is the time frame of these writings? Alexander the Great and Caesar Augustus have primary sources written about them that exceed 100-200 years after their death. That is what is used for two of the greatest historical figures then the usage of writings for Jesus Christ that were written within 70 years of His death (and ascension).

Testimonials are taken from veterans of the Vietnam and World War II for historical purposes. If the Gospels are considered weak evidences for the case of Jesus Christ then the testimonials of these veterans should likewise be scrutinized and thrown out as contaminated due to time lapse.

Most historians today would agree that Mark and Luke are the authentic authors of their Gospel (not speaking in terms of 90% but roughly 60%). Although neither were eye witnesses to the events Mark wrote the memories of the Apostle Peter, and historians such as Justin Martyr (who lived in the second century) believe that Luke followed Paul during his journeys. In Luke's gospel he claims to go to the eye witnesses and gathered their testimony; Luke's gospel was written to Theophilus to give an account of "the things fulfilled".

The certainty of the authorship of Matthew and John changes for skeptic historians. Early church leader Papias (roughly 120 A.D.), along with I. Howard Marshall and Scott McKnight who all concur with the traditional authorship of Matthew by the Apostle Matthew (also known as Levi). John is disputed on whether it was John the discple Jesus loved or a minor disciple. Regardless on which disciple of Jesus Christ it was the writings were based from a first hand account and therefore quite reliable. Theologian and New Testament scholar, James D. G. Dunn says in his newest book believes that the authorship of Matthew and John is to be "respected".

Throughout the Gospels can contradictions in the writings be seen. For example one Gospel might record a miracle being performed in one area, however the next Gospel says that it occurred in a different area. This is where archaeological evidences can support the New Testament. When these so-called contradictions are raised the answer is quite simple. One author wrote the name of the town, whereas the next wrote the name of the region. For example I might say that I live in Alaska, however the next Alaskan might say he lives in the United States. Both are right, but historical knowledge aids in that understanding. Another example of a so-called contradiction in the Gospels is the genealogy of Jesus Christ. Different names are found or removed, but how can that be possible if the Gospels are harmonious? In Jewish tradition not every name was written in a genealogy. Some were left out because of insignificances however the significant value was generally left to the one recording.

Again, I reiterate this was an extremely brief summary of the historical evidences for the validity of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Books have been written and many more volumes of books could be written. There are always answers to questions that Christianity faces. Sometimes the answer is simple, other times the answer is a bit harder to discover. When looking at the evidence for the Gospels of the New Testament my faith is not only reassured but strengthened in the Jesus Christ I have come to call as Savior.

Tonight at Overflow we talked about our Self Identity, to get to self identity we first have to peal away the layers. The layers include lies, self doubt, and fear.

Layer one lies. How the little lies seep into our minds, and at first we might brush them off, but if spoken enough, especially by the ones we love we start to believe it. In the Bible it says in John 8:44 "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies." If Satan is the father of all lies, think of how much happiness he gets when he sees family members lying and putting each other down, and how even happier he gets when you start to believe them, he waits for it, and then he feeds off your feelings to those lies. He seeks you out and then he tries to destroy you. I've had to deal with this a lot, feeling like I was the black sheep of the family or the not accepted one, because I believe in God, I chose my life different, people told me I wouldn't measure up to this or that. I can't do this or that, but with God, I can do anything. With him my dreams can come true and I can be what he intended me to be!

Layer two self-doubt. I never really thought I had self doubt, but who am I kidding? I wanted to write this book, about the lessons God has taught me throughout life, but I kept telling myself I couldn't do it, I wasn't good enough! I did this with so many other things too, I never felt like I could quite measure up to anything. This goes back to all those lies, that were told to me at a young age, they seeped into my mind and I believed them! Then I started doubting myself, and that gave me my third layer.

Layer three fear. I have the biggest fear of going out of my comfort zone, to do something new, even if God is calling me to it, I'm like no I can't do that God. But he knows I can! Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real. To me, it's like God is my designer, I'm his design, he molds me. I'm clay in my potter's hands. Say he has a crack or maybe a squiggle line instead of a straight line or a smooth surface, that's the way he wanted me! But in this malicious cycle, Satan would use someone to tell me, I wasn't good enough because of that crack or squiggly line, then because of those lies, I would start doubting myself, I would start believing I didn't measure up, and finally I would be following fear, not God. I would believe what man and Satan was telling me, and ignoring God's Word, absolute truth!

We need a revival, but it has to start in my heart first! I need to deal with my issues, to peel away the layers, and God will heal me. Psalms 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." How amazing is that? He does that he heals us!

We are important and we are children of God. That is my Identity. I am a child of God. I'm his daughter. I'm the princess of the King of kings and Lord of lords. I'm made a conqueror though God, he loves me, I am loved. I'm His friend. I was made to do good works, to live for him. My identity is to follow God, and strive to be Christ-Like to mimic him and his actions, to love people the way Jesus did.

-John 1:12, "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."

-John 15:15, "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you."

-Ephesians 2:10, "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

-Ephesians 2:19. "Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household."

-Romans 8:37, "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."

I come to the cross
waiting, wanting, needing answers.
I'll lift up my hands in praise,
I'm giving you everything I am, all of me, it's yours.

I want to live in my Maker's hands,
as he molds me for his wonderful works.
Show me, teach me, use me,
I'll surrender my life, to live for you.

You knew me before I was born,
every hair on my head, everything I will become.
You knew me, and you still know me,
I lay my life in your hands, use me O LORD.

I come to the cross,
waiting, wanting, needing your love.
Break me O LORD,
humble me, so I can be taught your word.

I want to shout it from the mountains,
The love and grace you've given me.
Let it pour out of my soul, my heart, my mouth,
for everyone to see, your works are in me.

I'll bow my head, and seek your words.
I'm in love with you my LORD!
I'll strive to have a heart like yours,
and in return you'll give me eternity.

I come to the cross,
I look up and see your promise,
Your son's blood,
for my salvation.

I had a dream one night.

It was a dream that haunted me for two days and I wanted to share it with you.

In my dream all the kids from the home I worked at in Honduras were here, with me.

As I was playing games with the kids they started thanking me for showing them God's love.

I don't know if they were speaking English or Spanish, but I could understand them, and I know that God's love knows no language barriers.

As They were thanking me they started to change. They went from the happy kids they had become while I was with them to the scared, hurt and hungry kids they were when I first met them.

Then they became different kids, kids that had never known love. Kids that have never known when they would eat again. Kids that were wearing the clothes they had found or stolen, clothes that hadn't been washed in weeks.

These kids wanted to know why I hadn't visited them, to show them God's love. They wanted to know why I had ever told them about Jesus. They wanted to know why I had never given them something to eat or tended their wounds. They wanted to know why I had never taken them in on a stormy night.

I tried to tell the kids that I was trying to get where I could help them, but I needed people to support me. I tried to explain that, in the United States, people were too worried that they will miss a boat payment, or their kids won't have the newest video game or movie. They wanted to make sure they could eat out 3 or 4 times a week.

The kids didn't understand.

As the dream ended and I was waking up my kids were back. They all said "Te Quiero"(I love you)

For the first time in years I have returned to art. Drawing, sketching and just doodling at times used to be fun for me, and as I continue to delve into art again I feel that same passion returning. Today I was able to be apart of a morning worship group at my school. When the music ended and I had my two minutes to speak I chose Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace."

The point of using this passage was that we are all in different seasons but during praise in worship we
could lay that aside and just praise the only God who deserves praise. The Scripture is in my mind and has been for a week or so. It is so poetic and has a deep meaning that I am left to consider all the possibly meanings (which of course I will never know them all!).

Later, I went and bought some art supplies from Michaels and when I got home began to paint again. Would I like to say that it was a fascinating canvas? Of course, however truth be told it is not. My art though is not to please my eye nor any other mans, but I want my art to relay the One who deserves all of our talents and ambitions.

I do not know where your at right now in your life. Perhaps your life is just fine and could not get any better, yet somewhere that likelihood seems slim. Most of us are going through rough situations where God is begging for us to turn it over to Him. Regretfully I am there now with my own battle, however slowly I am learning to trust God's power. A better day will come, I promise that if you put your trust in God. You have been relying on yourself for so long and see how far you have gotten? Instead lean on God and see how far you will soar.

You know it took Jesus 3 rusty nails to build his Church Amen!!! I just heard the song the other day and it ran all through me. I was thinking of some of the messages He would teach throughout his short time here. He knew that He would be scorned, tortured, laughrd at and even put to death for He was God. I thank Him for stepping in for me so I will have a chance to have eternal life with Him. He said He we would be slain for the Word of God, that we would be laughed at and so on, called crazy. But think of what He did for us and knew the outcome. We are laughed at and called crazy everyday, but I don;t care Amen !!! I take it as a compliment that means I am doing my job as a servant of God. The statistics show an increase in atheism, this means we are getting a little slack let's reach out to them. Remember, these are lost and confused souls. I have run into some that can quote the Bible backwards almost. They say too many contradictions, they will show me one and I will show them an answer. These are kids that grew up in church people our churches and knew God, but noone would reach out and and help them. They are the one's that thought if they gave their hearts to God, everything good would ahppen to them. They thought nothing bad would happen because they had God. Sometimes I ask myself did they skip the book of Job. Or the whole story of Jesus, Paul, Stephen. They are what I call Instamatic , fair-weathered Christian they want to get everything they want, when they want it and if they don;t they leave the Church, their wife's sometimes even their Kids. God did not promise an easy road, He tells us it is a straight and narrow road (path), Amen. Then you have Liberal Christians who think they can go to Church on Sunday and then live however they want to the rest of the week, we need to reach out to these Christians it is our jobs as servants of God. We need to reach them before Satan takes them completely over. Then others think if it don;t say it in the Bible it is ok to do it, this is another subject but I will go ahead and tell some of it. This is what we call gray areas. The Word is not going to say don't go to www.beautifulbabes well you understand. or don;t go to the bar, or these type things this book was written 100's of years ago, they didn't have computers, clubs etc.. God gives you wisdom and knowledge to use. These fellow Brothers and Sisters need help to be taught that Jesus built his Church with 3 rusty nails, not tin, cement and whatever else they can find Amen.

I am sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes but when God tells me to write I write it because I feel it is meant for one of his servants.

God Bless
Rev. Tim

All I Really Needed to Know about God I Learned from Movie

Hollywood is fake.

We all know this. Those tall, white letters rise out of the hazy, California hills like a monument to all that is superficial and immoral. So it is always a surprise when Hollywood gets something right. Maybe it’s an accident, maybe it’s on purpose, but sometimes, on rare occasions, tidbits of wisdom trickle down through the producers, directors, writers, actors, best boys and key grips and onto the silver screen.

This is a multi-part blog series on the surprising truths I’ve picked up from various movies.

Bruce Almighty

I attended a small, private, Christian college. I sometimes cynically felt like the motto should have been “We’ll continue to shelter your kids for you after they’ve left home.” One of the annual events included a movie showing outside on the commons on a large screen - bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a family-friendly flick. One year, however, the film selection was the slightly controversial comedy Bruce Almighty.

At least one of my acquaintances told me later that the reason they didn’t like it was because they “couldn’t accept the concept of ‘God’ having a live-in girlfriend.” I give them a technical score of 9.9 for Missing the Point Entirely.

In case you haven’t seen it, I’ll bring you up to speed. Jim Carrey portrays Bruce – a TV newsman who is dissatisfied with the mediocrity of his life. In moments of anger he suggests that he could do a better job of being God. And hey, it’s the movies, so what else should happen but God (Morgan Freeman) takes Bruce up on this challenge. Bruce is endowed with all of God’s powers. He uses these powers to make himself the anchor of his news station, and other various self-indulgent desires. In the end, he learns that the most important thing is hard work and putting other people first (“Want to see a miracle – be the miracle”).

Lesson #1 – God can’t tamper with free will.

When Bruce is endowed with his divine powers, God explains the rules: “You can’t tell anybody you’re God – believe me, you don’t want that kind of attention. And you can’t mess with free will.”

Simple enough.

Bruce’s actions throughout the movie cause him to lose his long-time girlfriend, Grace (Jennifer Aniston). In a final, desperate move to win her back, Bruce decides to break the second rule. He hold his hands out toward her, make an I’m-using-my-powers face, and says “love me!” Grace only stares at him. “Love me!” he says again.

But it doesn’t work. As it turns out, it’s not that he shouldn’t mess around with free will – it’s that he actually can’t.

“How do you make somebody love you without affecting free will?” Bruce asks God.

God replies, “Welcome to my world, son. If you come up with an answer to that one, you let me know.”

God created us with the ability to choose – even with the knowledge that our choice is not always (in some cases, never) going to be Him. But afterall, which is more honest: love by choice, or love by force?

Lesson #2 – God Will Give You What You Need, Not What You Want

Bruce has difficulty keeping up with the constant stream of incoming prayers. In an attempt to make it easier on himself, he replies to all of the prayers (which he has converted into e-mail form) with a simple “yes”. This creates so many lottery winners that each person only gets about $17.

There are also some deleted scenes on the DVD that include God showing Bruce the results of a few of the people who got exactly what they prayed for. Without boring you too much with details, one young boy became a bully after praying for strength, and an old woman who winds up alone, instead of reuniting with her sister.

Bruce says, “there were so many. I just gave them all what they wanted.”

God replies, “yeah, but since when does anyone have a clue about what they want?”

God then shows Bruce Lance Armstrong winning the Tour de France for the 4th or 5th time in a row. Bruce says, “I didn’t…” and God says, “No. That was me and him.”

“Triumph is born out of struggle,” God continues, “Faith is the alchemist. If you want to paint some pictures like this, you have to use some dark colors.”

The message couldn’t be more obvious if Freeman had faced the camera and quoted, “For I know the plans I have for you; plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

Lesson #3 – God Helps Those Who Help Others

“People want me to do everything for them,” God says, “What they don’t realize is that they have the power. You want to see a miracle, son? Be the miracle.”

Bruce sets about fixing the mess he’s made – most of which doesn’t involve the use of his powers. Some things are as simple as helping someone who’s car is broken down, relinquishing the anchor position to the man who originally earned it, and finishing the photo album his girlfriend had been working on prior to the break-up. And ultimately leads to his asking God that Grace will be happy – even though he believes that to mean that they can’t be together. Bruce puts the needs of others first – and it’s happy endings all the way around.

* * *

Yes, sometimes Hollywood gets it right. That’s all for this round of All I Really Needed to Know About God I Learned from Movies – and remember: only Jesus Christ can provide the ultimate happy ending!

The Lord is my Rock

The Lord God is so merciful, kind, and loving. As you know Janet and I have been in constant contact with the Calvary Trust Orphanage in Coimbatore, India for several months now. This notice of what is happening with the orphanage and the Solomon family is a testimony of what the Lord Jesus Christ is doing in the orphanage, but also in the lives of all concerned. This testimony is evidence of the faith and trust that we have in our mighty God. We Glorify and Magnify His precious name!

A few days ago, maybe a couple of months, anyway the landlord of the orphanage was going to take back his building for non payment of rent. The family was 3 months arear on the rental payment. The Hindu people was raising havoc, defying God, and wanting the Christians out. We had a prayer session to God and the Lord God provided the rental money. This in turn was an example of what God can do; to the Hindu people. You see, God showed the Hindu's that He is in control and not mortal man, and their idols. This was also a lesson for praying without doubting!

Next was a crisis for school clothing for the orphans. Now in India, to send children to school is very expensive. Maybe in the U.S. dollars it isn't because our wages are larger. But to people living in India, it is very expensive. Anyway, we called for a 3 day prayer and fast for God to provide, not only for clothes, but for the work going on in the tribal area of India for the care and rescuing of children, for taking care of the elderly, for building a school. All the work for the under privilledged people. God sent help again. Some person listened to God, bought beautiful clothes for the children. bamboo buildings were constucted, some 200 children is being taken care of in the tribal area, the sick and the elderly alike. Again, prayer without a doubting heart, obeying God, relying on God instead of ourselves.

Next crisis: A stove to cook on. The orphanage did not have a stove to cook on. They had to cook on a wood fire outdoors of the orphanage. When the rain came, they could not cook. Again, need for prayer. Understand now, this is a need and not a want. Yes, you are right, after prayer a gas stove was provided by God. Now they can cook indoors and the children can have their meals on time.

The same thing has happened for a water filtration unit. God is providing this also and will be installed sometime this month. All because of a 6 day prayer and fasting opportunity. Praise God, You are such an awesome and loving God. In the prayers was also a request for a school van. We have all been praying each and every day to ease the burden of the children, for having to walk so far. A Hindu man is buying a school van for the children. God is awesome, He will use what ever means to take care of His own.

Now the last thing is the dvd's. The dvd's is awesome. Janet and I have received the sound track for them. As this message is going out the box and the covers for the dvd's are being made. The name on the disk is Glorius 1 the first release. This is a product of much prayer and listening to God. We are now praying without doubt that the Almighty Father will provide the means of paying for the dvd's for they were expensive to produce and make. It will cost in the neighborhood of 9600 rupees or $4000.00 dollars. I know that God will provide. Without doubt. These beautiful dvd's is what is going to build a 3 story building to house the 200 plus children, and also provide shelter for the aged and mentally ill persons. I know that if 250 or more people donated $15.00 each these dvd's would be paid for and that it would be a tool God would use to build the 3 story building that has been prophesied being built within a year!

We just can't thank Christ enough for how He is blessing. When we get up in the morning, renew our minds in Christ we wonder what good things God has for us. It is such a joy and priviledge to behold. One last thing before leaving. God has provided a bible college for Jabez. He is the youngest son of the Solomon family. He is such a joy and so full of Christ. A dear sister in Christ donated some land to the Solomon family. They built the college school from scratch, even made their own bricks by hand. Jabez had 17 students for a 2 year course even before the school was built. This is pure faith in God, without doubt; Serving God with a pure mind and heart. Have you been listening what the Spirit is saying. Listen and let God use you. It is an amazing journey in the land that we are aliens in. Praise God, Glory to His name. Amen

I woke up this morning and turned on the TV. One of the first things I seen was a news update from a local station and it makes one wonder what is happening to this world? The News update was about a Judge Partially Dismissing a Suit over songs sang at a local School in St. John's County, Florida.  The songs in question are "In God We Trust" and "Chatter with The Angels". The lawsuit states three teachers violated the students religious rights and were let go. The judge dismissed the lawsuit against the teachers but say the parents can sue the district. Christianity is being pushed further and further away from our society,  that is why the world is falling to it's knees.

Psalm 62:8
Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Just found another article on this.

A judge has refused to dismiss a lawsuit against the St. Johns County School District over religious songs but has dismissed individual claims against the superintendent, principal and three teachers.

Senior U.S. District Judge Harvey Schlesinger said a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision upped the standard for constitutional claims, and those against the individual educators don't meet that standard. He gave the parents who filed the lawsuit the opportunity to amend their lawsuit to attempt to meet the standard, but their lawyer wouldn't say whether they intend to do that.

Schlesinger let stand the parents' lawsuit against the School District, saying it did meet the standard. The parents sued in March, claiming their third-graders at Webster School in St. Augustine were forced to learn the country song, "In God We Trust" for an end-of-year assembly.

They later added a second claim, saying the children subsequently were taught the African-American folk song "Chatter With the Angels." Both songs contain overtly Christian lyrics in violation of the First Amendment's prohibition against government establishment of religion, the lawsuits say.

The School District has denied that the songs violate the First Amendment but agreed not to have them sung while the case is argued. Additionally, the district notes "Chatter With the Angels" has been part of the state's elementary music curriculum for decades.

"TESTING ONE,TWO,THREE" Lord, I know that we are often put to our most difficult test just before the greatest work of God in our lives is about to be accomplished. Help me to remember that when I am going through a time of testing and trial. May my attitude in the midst of such times always be one of praise and worship and great faith and trust in You. Guide me through it and help me to hear You when You speak to my heart......(As taken from the pages of "A BOOK OF PRAYER" by Stormie Omartian) "When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. "GOD DID NOT GIVE US THE SPIRIT OF FEAR" "2 TIMOTHY 1:7-10 GODS WORD TRANSLATION" 7 God didn't give us a cowardly spirit but a spirit of power, love, and good judgment. 8 So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord or be ashamed of me, his prisoner. Instead, by God's power, join me in suffering for the sake of the Good News. 9 God saved us and called us to be holy, not because of what we had done, but because of his own plan and kindness. Before the world began, God planned that Christ Jesus would show us God's kindness. 10 Now with the coming of our Savior Christ Jesus, he has revealed it. Christ has destroyed death, and through the Good News he has brought eternal life into full view.

I posted this blog when I first started the site and am sure not many have found it and read it so am reposting it.  August is a tough month for me and Peg. I lost my father at age 60 and Peg lost her Mom at age 66. This August 21st will be 6 years that I lost my Dad and August 23rd will be 5 years that Peg lost her mom. Both Passed on from heart attacks. They are dearly missed each and every day.

FALLING IN LOVE

98% of all the songs in exisitece have been written about Love. Of the other two percent, well, you could break them down into tenths of percentages, and STILL fit them into that leftover two percent.

But the 98...think about that for a moment...

No matter the genre, no matter the music, no matter how the words are put together - or whether there ARE any words at all - we humans love a Love Song!

Needing it, wanting it, losing it, finding it, sharing it, taking it to new levels, falling into it, out of it, having it, giving it, getting more of it...never knowing it is unthinkable. Anyone old enough to realize that they are alive - and that's pretty much from Birth - knows the need for it. And, if we've been fortunate enough, have experienced it in some form and on some level.

For a moment though, let's place it in that ''falling in love'' phase - you know that point...when we start to really focus in on that "FEEL-ING".

That point when the receiver of your affection starts to become ""IMPORTANT"".

Let's look at the signs:

*You start to think of them all the time.

-When you wake up
-When you go to bed
-When you're in the shower
-When you're at work
-When you're walking, riding, driving
-When you're cooking
-When you're doing nothing
-When you SHOULD doing something else

*The trees, the birds, the clouds, the sunrise...EVERYTHING reminds you of them

*You can't wait to see them...or at least talk to them

*You'll put off whatever you can to be with them

*Being with them makes you heart fill up with this...WONDER...that you can't even find words to describe

*Hearing their name lights up your smile like a hundred watt bulb

*Having their attention lights up your eyes brightly enough to illumniate a room

*They just simply make your world alright

*You feel like nothing in life will ever be as wonderful as this feeling

*The thought of being without them makes you tremble inside

*When you're apart from them nothing feels right

*On the phone you can just talk for HOURS

*When you're with them you don't need words at all, it's enough to just BE...snuggled up, cuddled up, holding hands, sharing the same space.

ALIVE..........................ADORED................LOVED.

But here's the catch....With Humans, that feeling is always temporary.
Of course, it's entirely possible to build loving and lasting relationships with the person you experience ""That Place"" with. But Human nature being what it is, the Self eventually gets in the way...lets some of the air out of your high-flying 'feelings', and tarnishes that first Golden glow. You don't get it back either. You can clean it up, re-wrap it, and cherish it the way it is...but you can't take it back to that state it was in before that annoyance was epressed, or those 'feelings' were hurt, or that disappointment happened, or that doubt crept in...or the simple state of Being, Love was interrupted by LIFE.

You want to know why?

Because what I just described is all based in the physical world of "Feelings". And here, in the physical world of feelings, things are always changing. Some change faster than others, some changes occur when you don't want them to, some you can't wait for. But everything changes, grows, matures, and dies out. It's a fact of Life here in this Realm.

By contrast however, I can tell you how to have I what I started off descirbing...I can tell you how to know and have that all-encompassing joy that takes your breath away and makes you forget about everything that you ever thought was important before.
I can tell you how to find someone who will stir up all of that and more. And here's the wonderful part. It's never, NEVER, Ever, going leave you hanging. I can 'hook you up' with someone who will give you all the love you can handle. Someone who will lift you up...to "That" place, and never let you down. Someone who will never tease you, never make you sad, never hurt you, never leave you, never abuse you, never misuse you, never make you feel unwanted, unappreciated, or unloved.

Doesn't matter if you're male or female. Doesn't matter what color you are...what race you are...what you have or don't have...where you're from...what you've done, how many times you've done it...or who you've been in love with before. I've got the Perfect One for you, and you can "Hook-Up" with Him right now!

"Dear Jesus, blessed be your name.  I believe that You are the Son of the Heavenly Father, I believe that You Loved me so much You came here to give your precious life for my sins. I believe that You died and rose again from the grave to return to Heaven as the Right Hand of God's throne. Lord I believe in You and accept into my life your Holy Spirit.

I am willing to commit my life to You Lord, for I know you are the One true Way, and I ask that you forgive me Lord for allowing my heart to be tossed to and fro by uncertainty, I ask Your forgiveness for those ways I have offended you in my ignorance, and in my willful turning away from your loving guidance.

I am in need of your help today Lord, and I come seeking strength and guidance. Help me Lord Jesus, to remember that only through You will I be able to have peace, hope, joy, and above all faith to keep holding on as I walk through this place of tribulation. Help me to keep placing my trust in You Lord, and not in the direction of mankind.

I thank you Lord for your Loving watch over my life, and I thank the Father for His loving GRACE in giving you to me. In Your name and for Your edification I ask that this come to pass."

Amen.

Now that you've said it, take a moment when you're done reading here, and just close your eyes and concentrate for a little while about some of the changes you desire for your heart, your world, your life. If things haven't been going the way you're sure they should be, and you're hurting, depressed, discouraged, or in any way wondering if it will ever get right...tell you new love about it. Be Honest...it's ok, because He knows and understands. Tell Him you believe He can take care of it, then just trust Him.

That's all. Just promise that you trust Him, and start looking for it to happen. Everyday, the love will shine a bit brighter. Everyday you'll want to spend some more time with Him. Everyday you'll become a little more sure, more confident of His love for you. And, if you'll just stay with Him, stand with Him, focus on Him and let the rest go, I promise you---HE promises you...sooner than you think, you'll come into ""That Place"". Glowing. At Peace. Assured, confident, giddy with it, uncaring if the world thinks your being 'silly'.

Just.....In Love.

Jesus can do that for you. Try Him and see for yourself.

Be Blessed, and...
LET THE WORD GO FORTH!

For the majority who will read this you have heard of Camp Barnabas but for the exception I will explain. Outside Purdy, Missouri there is a camp called, guess what, Camp Barnabas! It is a special needs camp where CIAs (Christian in Action) come to pour their lives into God's children who happen to have a disability. Some weeks the group of children might have physical disabilities other weeks a mental disability. This year my youth group flew down to spend a week together with these kids.

We had fun.
We had tears.
We had sweat.
We had laughs.
We had frustrations.
But what we had to do the most was lean on God.

When we got to the Camp I was unsure of exactly what I would encounter. I assumed I would be working with a camper who would just need some help eating or maybe even getting dressed. I assumed that my camper would be able to speak and that he and I would become great friends. I assumed wrong! Even before I saw my camper's information my cabin family had a discussion about the campers we would be working with. Our group was extremely low functioning they said. Our group would be one of their most difficult groups they admitted. I was worried to say the least! Well, our campers were assigned to their CIA and my camper would be Caleb Barnes. (Age 10, MA [mental age] 2, Weight 50 lbs., Disabilities included Cerebral Palsy, wheelchair was a necessity, total dependance for bathing, changing clothes and briefs, unable to eat so he was fed directly through a Gastric Tube, and unable to communicate verbally or through sign language)

The night before the campers arrive was a slow one for myself. We went outside and laid down to look at the stars, pray, and think. Like many others I cried for most of that time, just praying to God for guidance and assurance. Verses read, praises sung. The stargazing ended and we headed to the cabins to get some sleep.

The Campers Are Coming!

When anyone said that we all went crazy in cheering, jumping, or whatever else you could think of! We had some prep and training, although I could not recall anything I was told, and at 4 o'clock the gates were opened and the campers began to arrive. The smiles on those kids and adults made everyone else smile. One by one they came and I waited for Caleb's name to be called. Finally it was and I went to meet him. I took him back to my cabin B8 to wait for his parents. I spoke to him and it was awkward because I knew I would receive no response. I spoke with his mom and dad for ten minutes or so and just asked questions then after forgetting the answers.

Once the parents left the single hardest week of my life began.

I was warned Caleb would miss his mom the first 24 hours so I had somewhat expected him to get upset... and he did. For five hours he cried, screamed, and coughed up (because he is unable to swallow, so it had to come out). He and I did not go to the first party because the noise would bother him so all I could do was sit and try and comfort someone I just met. Eventually things settled down when it was time for bed. I put to Caleb to bed, had cabin family time where we all basically vented with one another and then went to my own bed. I have no idea how long but all I could do was cry whether out of feeling bad for Caleb, my frustrations of the day or just plain tired. Of course though, no sleep would come. One of the campers stayed up that night yelling about bears and monsters going to eat him. Then he yelled about wanting to kill us all in the cabin.

A new day started with two hours of sleep - oh yeah!

The following two days were better. Caleb was not as upset as he had been, the routine was getting down and the CIAs in my cabin learned to assist one another much better. We had activities during the week that included canoeing, swimming, fishing, horse riding, petting animals, arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, rifles, archery, going to the treehouse, and some others.

Everyday swimming was my favorite time because it was Caleb's favorite time. In the pool he was not bound to a wheelchair. No one could tell him his limits on mobility because he was free. I did have to support him but I took his legs and made him walk in the water to feel it. I played with him like I would any other kid. Then I would run into a select group of friends (you know who you five are!) Everyday I would have my countdown going on the days left and would vent about what happened the past 24 hours. At one day I told Darryl something like this, "I do not regret coming but I know this is not my calling".

The following parties Caleb and I went to and had a blast being at them. Four times a day I took him up to the "Fish House" a.k.a. the Nurses to feed him through his tube. I had two Cabin moms, Mother Teresa and Momma Marcy, Ms. Marcy always helped me with Caleb and Ms. Teresa always offered and often helped as well.

Then about day four or five set in.

I helped out with two other boys, Luke and Cameron. Luke was not born disabled but has seizures which caused his disabilities. Cameron has down syndrome and ODD (basically he is extremely stubborn). Cameron always informed me on how he hated me and how I should just go away. Luke was my praise and worship buddy even though he bit, hit, and tried to escape from me throughout the day. Caleb, Luke, and Cameron all are amazing kids!

But somewhere in one of those days my viewpoint changed about Camp Barnabas. I was not excited for our break time but excited to go to the next activity with the kids. I began to dread the day the kids would leave and I know God gave me a love for Camp Barnabas when my selfish love to be there died.

The last party was a dance party and it was a ton of fun! Alex and I danced with some elderly ladies, I rocked out to Hannah Montana and later that night heard a "goot" sermon. The part of that night I still struggle with is when Caleb's sister, Abbie, came up to us. The two look so much alike it is unbelievable! All I could think was how Caleb could have been just like his sister, a child considered to be normal. Why did I think that? I don't know but regardless I just had to cry - again. I know Caleb is created by Christ to fulfill the will of Christ in the way He wants to, but I just wanted what I thought was best for Caleb, again my selfish loves side.

The following day was the Cross Carry. In the mornings we had a devotional and behind the speaker was a cross with the names of the campers who had died since they were at Camp Barnabas. Each cabin got the cross, prayed over it, then passed it along and followed the crowd. More emotional fall outs for the next two hours because following the carry was "Say-So", a time for campers or CIAs to thank anyone they wanted.

The day of departure had come and I wish I was still down with those kids. Caleb's mom and dad arrived and I had a long talk with his mom. I told her about the week but I also told her how incredible her family was. Three more hours passed and we were out of Camp Barnabas.

My intentions of going could be summed up to this: I wanted to grow closer to God. In all of the campers of my cabin I had a mirrored effect.

One camper was extremely stubborn, I need to work on my own.
One camper took pleasure in the small things of life, I need to do the same.
One camper told me everything I did wrong, I am just as critical if not worse.
Caleb was my daily reminder of I cannot do this on my own, I am in need of God.

The end of the week had passed and the boy who told me hated me told me he loved me and would miss me. The boy who bit me and hit me was the same boy who hugged me till his mom came to get him, and the boy who cried because he missed his mom was upset with his mom when we took his stuff to the car.

Next year I have already asked my mom if I can go for Term 6 (children who have had cancer) as a graduation gift - so we will see. Lessons were learned and instead of me growing directly closer to God, He had a different plan. He showed me what I need to work on to get out of the way so that He can work in me more.

Darryl - Thank you so much for letting me go on this trip. During last years sign up I was worried that I would not be able to go because I am not a member of ABT but you guys said I could anyways, so again thanks. Everyday during the meals when you would come check on me meant a ton! Every time someone I knew came to talk I got a boost of motivation to continue working. Your love for Camp Barnabas has definitely been passed on and I take back what I told you at the pool, I do not regret going but I could definitely go back and work again! Love ya and I hope I didn't kill your back when I jumped on you!

Reuben - Thank you for not killing me at the airport when we were trying to leave... and probably for not killing me when Matt, you, and me shared a hotel room... and for the sarcastic arguments I gave you (which I guess I need to work on because people thought I was seriously mad at you). But seriously thanks for taking me along for the trip, it was a blast. As Darryl's were, when you checked up on how I was doing it was a ton of encouragement to keep on working for the campers and you should be happy I had Caleb with me in the pool because I really felt like pushing your head under the water! Your skills in purchasing expensive backpacks that cannot be taken back is to be commemorated but maybe you could have survived without a headband and two wristbands. Love you also and I will see you Sundays! My advice: go buy Ms. Heather a really nice Coach bag to make up for your expensive murse!

The Team - You guys were so much fun to be with! Memories and stories will go on forever about our time at Camp Barnabas! Alex, it is weird to eat poultry again, still not eating meat though! Erika, gonna miss you when you go to BBC but enjoy your college days! Dylan, have fun at CCU playing basketball! Luke I am going to buy my Keens later today I think so I will call you on what they look like so we don't have the same! To the rest, all of us have had fun love you all!

"God is goot all the time. He is never changin, always consistent, but never preditable!"

Caleb, I love you buddy and I will dance with you and Christ in heaven, I hope I gave you a great week because I gave you my all.

Our Lord Jesus Christ has told us that He is faithful and that He will provide all of our needs.  Just come to Him with a pure heart and ask.  Lord Jesus our needs are many, and I know that thru faith in You; that you provide all of our needs.  We magnify and glorify Your Wonderful name, the name above all names, Our King, our Saviour, our Rock that we lean on.  Praise You Heavenly Father, we shout praises to You, our Creator, our Redeemer, the I Am.

We have been on a mighty prayer service with Calvary Trust.  Their 37 beautiful orphan children needed clothes for school and for church.  The clothes was one of the items we all prayed for in one accord, just mortal children of God leaning on the Rock of Salvation for all of our needs, I emphasize needs and not wants.  Today the Lord answered our humble prayers for clothing.  Someone listened to God and provided beautiful clothing.  Nehemiah said he received a call today asking for the ages and sex of the children.  Later on a vehicle pulled up with beautiful clothing, the best clothing for the children, and the clothes fit perfectly.  We praise God that someone obeyed the call from God.  The children are so happy now shouting praises from their hearts to God.  The pictures of the children are downloaded on our profile.  They are in our picture section.  Praise God.       larry and janet

Thoughts for the day...

THE BUZZARD:

If you put a buzzard in a pen that is 6 feet by 8 feet and
is entirely open at the top, the bird, in spite of its
ability to fly, will be an absolute prisoner. The reason is
that a buzzard always begins a flight from the ground with a
run of 10 to 12 feet. Without space to run, as is its habit,
it will not even attempt to fly, but will remain a prisoner
for life in a small jail with no top.

THE BAT:

The ordinary bat that flies around at night, a remarkable
nimble creature in the air, cannot take off from a level
place. If it is placed on the floor or flat ground, all it
can do is shuffle about helplessly and, no doubt, painfully,
until it reaches some slight elevation from which it can
throw itself into the air. Then, at once, it takes off like
a flash.

THE BUMBLEBEE:

A bumblebee, if dropped into an open tumbler, will be there
until it dies, unless it is taken out. It never sees the
means of escape at the top, but persists in trying to find
some way out through the sides near the bottom. It will
seek a way where none exists, until it completely destroys
itself.

PEOPLE:

In many ways, we are like the buzzard, the bat, and the
bumblebee. We struggle about with all our problems and
frustrations, never realizing that all we have to do is look
up! That's the answer, the escape route and the solution
to any problem! Just look up.

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But
faith looks up!

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak
kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

I hope that all of you have a happy, blessed and safe Fourth of July!!!!

Dragonfly's

In the bottom of an old pond lived some grubs who could not understand why none of their groups ever came back after crawling up the stems of the lilies to the top of the water. They promised each other that the next one who was called to make the upward climb would return and tell what happened to him. Soon one of them felt an urgent impulse to seek the surface; he rested himself on the top of the lily pad and went through a glorious transformation which made him a dragonfly with beautiful wings. Flying back and forth over the pond, he peered down at his friends below. Then he realized that even if they could see him they would not recognize such a radiant creature as one of their number.

The fact that we cannot see our loved ones or communicate with them after the transformation, which we call death, is no proof that they cease to exist!!

How say you; The ones called christians

Needless to say our e-mail this morning, the same as in all days, is cluttered up by all types of mail, mostly political, and the most part is talking in a way not beholding to the Lord Jesus Christ. The sad thing is those who profess to be christians are acting in a hypocritical way with idle talk not worthy of saying. The world is for political action, the christians should and will be if they are a born again believer; the ambassadors of Christ, and they should be more concerned with souls then they are with worldly things. I see, and hear ministers of the Lord Jesus Christ getting wrapped up in worldly political practices, I see, and hear christians sending out, and speaking bad things all over.

I have sent out e-mail, written articles, have pleaded for people to open up their eyes and hear what God is saying but it seems to no avail. I have sent e-mail messages to family, friends, ministers with very few responses on the very important mission work, both in the United States, and abroad and guess what------these e-mails are not answered, they are ignored, but at the same time, ministers I might add are sending more political garbage!

Paul said; "What? Don't you know that you are the temple of God?" Now if we are the temple of God don"t you think that we should imitate Jesus Christ, or do you believe? The just shall live by faith; Faith in a Holy Righteous Lord, or faith in your pocket book, or greedy lawless mind!

We that follow the Way are the salt of the earth. But God has told us that if we lose our flavor that we are not fit for the dung heap. I think repentance is in order, don't you? It is time that God's people get off their lazy complacent rears, repent, seek God, follow Him and be sanctified to the world.

"IF YOU ARE OF GOD THEN YOU WILL HEAR GOD WORDS" (JOHN 8:42-47 G.W.T) 42 Jesus told them, "If God were your Father, you would love me. After all, I'm here, and I came from God. I didn't come on my own. Instead, God sent me. 43 Why don't you understand the language I use? Is it because you can't understand the words I use? 44 You come from your father, the devil, and you desire to do what your father wants you to do. The devil was a murderer from the beginning. He has never been truthful. He doesn't know what the truth is. Whenever he tells a lie, he's doing what comes naturally to him. He's a liar and the father of lies. 45 So you don't believe me because I tell the truth. 46 Can any of you convict me of committing a sin? If I'm telling the truth, why don't you believe me? 47 The person who belongs to God understands what God says. You don't understand because you don't belong to God." MINISTER TONY

31 December, 196931 December, 1969 1 comments How to get saved! How to get saved!

If you really believe then you will obey... there are no excuses if you haven't obeyed the gospel. We are commanded to REPENT, AND BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS AND RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST! NO EXCUSES!

Acts 2:38

38 Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, AND BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, AND YE SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST.

The spirit of Christ is salvation! If you have the Holy Ghost you are saved as long as you have obeyed the gospel (Romans 10:6) , abide in Christ (John 15), and walk in the Spirit (Romans 8, Galations 5)

If you haven't repented, of your sins, then your not saved but your on the braod road to hell... (Matthew 7:13, Ezekiel 18, Luke 13)

If you haven't been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ to wash away your sins your not saved... (John 3:5, 1 Peter 3:21, Galations 3:27, Romans 6, Mark 16:16)

If you haven't received the Holy Ghost your not saved... (John 3:5 , Romans 8:9)

Today there are millions of people being deceived that believing means simply believe and you will be saved without any obediance or works. This is a deadly heresy of the baptist church and needs to be exposed because this is leading people into hell. WE DON'T BELIEVE INTO CHRIST! BUT WHAT SAITH THE SCRIPTURE?

Romans 6:3

3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Galations 3:27

27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Now salvation is only promised to those who obey... for it is written...

he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; (Hebrews 5:9)

It is written...

Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. (James 1:22).

Non-obeyers are equivolent to non-believers for it is written...

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? (Romans 10:16)

IF YOU ARE IN A CHURCH THAT IS NOT PREACHING THIS TRUTH NOR TELLING PEOPLE HOW TO BE SAVED BIBLICALLY THEN YOU NEED TO GET OUT! GET OUT OF THAT DRY RIVER BED BECAUSE ALL THE PLANTS ARE DEAD! IF YOUR CHURCH DOES NOT HAVE THE HOLY GHOST THEN IT'S NOT GOD'S CHURCH! THIS IS VERY SERIOUS AND COULD GET YOU STRAIT INTO HELL IF YOU DON'T REPENT!

Would you rather obey man's traditions over God? Jesus completely denounced and rebuked the religious leaders of his day because they were leading people to hell neither did they enter in themselves. Read about it (Matthew 23). Jesus told them, ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? (Matthew 23:33)

If your church doesn't have the right bible it doesn't have the right spirit because there is only 1 bible. Count it, O-N-E bible! God's has no proofreaders! How serious is this? What saith the scripture?

God absalutely condemns adding or taking away from his word and will cost you your salvation... for it is written...

Revelation 22:18-19

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his  part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Acts 5:29

29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, we ought to obey God rather than men.

If you don't have the Spirit of Christ your not saved, but wait, the Spirit of Christ is the Holy Ghost for it is written...

And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: (Acts 3:20)

Now God only gives the Holy Ghost to those that obey him for it is written...

And we are witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost , whom God hath given to them that obey him. (Acts 5:32)

Now what is going to happen to those who do not obey the gospel/truth? They are going to drink the cup of the wrath of God for it is written...

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness , indignation and wrath... (Romans 2:8)

2 Thessalonians 1:8

8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Christ said that if you hear and do his sayings your house will be built upon a rock. (Matthew 7:24,  7:25, Luke 6:48)

Matthew 7:24

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

If you haven't obeyed the gospel, DON'T WAIT DO IT TODAY! NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION! NOW IS THE TIME! And if anyone preaches a gospel that excludes repentance, Jesus name baptism for the remission of sins, obediance, taking up your cross, or denying yourself LET HIM BE ACCURSED! THE TRUE GOSPEL IS THE DEATH BURIAL AND RESSURECTION! THATS HOW WE ARE SAVED!

Galations 1:8

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Ephesians 1:13

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard of the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed , ye were sealed with the holy Spirit of promise,

NO ONE
falls in love by choice,
it is by CHANCE.

No one
stays in love by chance,
it is by WORK.

And no one
falls out of love by chance,
it is by CHOICE

If you love this man
please share with 10 people.

He did
something for you,
now do something for Him.

Spread his word,
and you'll be rewarded.
How?

Matthew 10:32...
'Whoever acknowledges Me before men,
I will acknowledge him
before My Father in heaven.
But whoever disowns Me before men,
I will disown him
before My Father in heaven.'

God is going to
shift things around
for you tonight
& let things work
in your favor.

If you believe,
Do not ignore him.
You must have
unwavering faith.
God bless you!

I had this emailed to me from a friend and thought I had to share it.

God is doing great things with this site by bringing some great Christians together.

Help us bring more Christians together to share in his love.

As christians we are supposed to do what our SAVIOR tells us, do we? not always. me personally , i have felt the call to preach the word of GOD did i listen.... i preached once! but what should i have done? I should have jumped in with both feet!!! I did not . I went to my pastor and told him i felt the call to preach the word of GOD and all  he said was good for you and that was that . what to do then ? I called a friend of mine( the first person i gave my testimony to by the way) and we talked for 30 mins or so about his life and finally he said" so when are you gonna start preachin?" i asked him how he knew i had been struggleing with this , he said and i quote "the spirit knows everything" which is so very true. So what is next for me ? my wife does go to church with me some times and when i told her i had the calling to preach she was not supportive in the least. She said " I dont think i would make a very good preachers wife" , so i have not been pursuing this calling. this is  MY excuse for not listening to the LORD. It is not a good one and very selfish on my behalf . So everyone please , I need your prayers now, so the LORD can give me the strenght i need to do the things he is asking me to do and also that my family will support me in the things that GOD is asking of me

"Am informing you that the situation is getting worse. No Maize at all. People are dying everywhere because the famine that is here in Kenya and not only Kenya this is almost everywhere. Please, if God will open a way, please, we need money to purchase Maize and Beans. This is God's children. He loves them and He will never let them suffer any more...We have food for only two days. Anyway, we are crying to our almighty father to meet our needs at the right time. .Please, pray for God to meet our needs. Thank you so much for your concern in all. May the dear Lord bless you."   Pastor Moses.

This is part of an email that Hearth to Hearth Ministries recieved last month from one of their orphanage administrators.  The price of corn is going up in Kenya and it is getting harder to find.  Read more of the urgent plea for more maize for the African orphans.

Below is a picture of some of the orphans that come to the gate of the orphanage for food.  My son took this picture when he was helping at Hope for Children Center Orphanage the summer of 2006.  The orphanage did not have enough money to feed them so he took his own money to buy them some bread.  This is still on his mind because he wrote a paper about it this year for his English class called "Can Death Bring Life"  (Click the link to read what he still thinks about it.  I added some pictures to his paper when I posted it on the web.)

I do hope you folks read this and take it to heart.  Last night my wife and I spent over an hour listening to Dennis's update on his walk for the Lord.  We sometimes don't know what direction the Lord Jesus Christ will take us but when we listen to God we tend to get out of our little comfort zones.  I say this with all understanding.  I was in a comfort zone for years before the Lord got my attention.  Sometimes we try to fool ourselves into thinking that what we do for the Lord is just not that important, making all kinds of excuses, such as a dollar will not help, or someone else will pray, or whatever many excuses we have.  Been there, done that.  I am truly ashamed it took me so many wasted years to wake up.  Dennis needs all the encouragement, the strength, and the exhortation that this site can give to him.  It is pitifull when a man will walk 30 miles, think enough of us to come on, give updates, and rejoice in the report of witnessing; that only 1,2, or three can rejoice with him.  Wake up folks.  We are in the last reformation church period, time is growing short, our walk with the Lord is on a 24/7 time period.  God bless     larry

When speaking to people about witnessing, just the word tends to make Christians uncomfortable. What is it that we dislike about it? Talking to strangers about your faith? Or is it that your "religion" needs to be kept as personal business? The way I see it, it is impossible
