Dragonfly's

In the bottom of an old pond lived some grubs who could not understand why none of their groups ever came back after crawling up the stems of the lilies to the top of the water. They promised each other that the next one who was called to make the upward climb would return and tell what happened to him. Soon one of them felt an urgent impulse to seek the surface; he rested himself on the top of the lily pad and went through a glorious transformation which made him a dragonfly with beautiful wings. Flying back and forth over the pond, he peered down at his friends below. Then he realized that even if they could see him they would not recognize such a radiant creature as one of their number.

The fact that we cannot see our loved ones or communicate with them after the transformation, which we call death, is no proof that they cease to exist!!

Why are we afraid of death?

Now, if a baby not yet born, still tucked under his mothers heart, could think, he might say to himself: " This is a wonderful place. It's warm. I'm fed. I'm taken care of. I'm secure. This is a great world where I am now. I like it here." And then someone might say to him:  "But you're not going to stay here. you have to move on: Your going to die out of this place.  You're going to another world.   " The baby would look upon the process of birth as if it were death since it would be the end of the pleasant state he was in. But look what happens to him! He is cradled in loving arms. Soft hands hold him gently. A kind face looks down at him and he loves that face. Everybody that comes near loves him. He's the king of the world he surveys and he comes to love that world, too. It's even better than the one in which he had been before.

Finally, he gets to be an old man and he is told: "You have to die to this world." He protests: " I don't want to die. I love this world. I like the feel of the sun on my face and the cool rain. I love the faces of my wife and children. I've lived here a long time and I love this place. I dont want to die." But, he does die to this world and then he is born into the next. And look what happens! He awakens to find himself young again. And once again, there are loving faces to greet him and loving hands to touch him.  And even more beautiful, sunlight will be there to surrond him, and  sweeter music that he's ever heard in his life before will sound in his ears. And all tears will be wiped from hie eyes and he will say: "Why was I so afraid of this thing called death, when, as I now know it is really life instead.

Looking for feedback.

Dear Dad,

If I could write a story
It would be the greatest ever told
Of a kind and loving Man
Who had a heart of gold

I could write a million pages
But still be unable to say, just how
Much I love and miss this man
Every single day

I will remember all he taught me
I'm hurt but won't be sad
‘coz he'll send me down the answers
And he'll always be MY DAD

I love you Dad,
Happy Fathers Day!

NO ONE
falls in love by choice,
it is by CHANCE.

No one
stays in love by chance,
it is by WORK.

And no one
falls out of love by chance,
it is by CHOICE

If you love this man
please share with 10 people.

He did
something for you,
now do something for Him.

Spread his word,
and you'll be rewarded.
How?

Matthew 10:32...
'Whoever acknowledges Me before men,
I will acknowledge him
before My Father in heaven.
But whoever disowns Me before men,
I will disown him
before My Father in heaven.'

God is going to
shift things around
for you tonight
& let things work
in your favor.

If you believe,
Do not ignore him.
You must have
unwavering faith.
God bless you!

I had this emailed to me from a friend and thought I had to share it.

God is doing great things with this site by bringing some great Christians together.

Help us bring more Christians together to share in his love.

Sunday school:
The Sunday School teacher was describing how Lot's wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt, when little Jason interrupted, "My Mummy looked back once, while she was driving," he announced triumphantly, "and she turned into a telephone pole!"

GOOD SAMARITAN:
A Sunday school teacher was telling her class the story of the Good Samaritan, in which a man was beaten, robbed and left for dead. She described the situation in vivid detail so her students would catch the drama. Then, she asked the class, "If you saw a person lying on the road side, all wounded and bleeding, what would you do?"
A thoughtful little girl broke the hushed silence, "I think I'd throw up."

DID NOAH FISH?
A Sunday school teacher asked, "Johnny, do you think Noah did a lot of fishing when he was on the Ark ?"No," replied Johnny. "How could he, with just two worms."

HIGHER POWER:
A Sunday school teacher said to her children, "We have been learning how powerful kings and queens were in Bible times. But, there is a higher power. Can anybody tell me what it is?"
One child blurted out, "Aces!"

MOSES & THE REDSEA :
Nine-year-old Joey, was asked by his mother what he had learned in Sunday school. "Well, Mom, our teacher told us how God sent Moses behind enemy lines on a rescue mission to lead the Israelites out of Egypt . When he got to the Red Sea, he had his army build a pontoon bridge and all the people walked across safely. Then, he radioed headquarters for reinforcements. They sent bombers to blow up the bridge and all the Israelites were saved.""Now, Joey, is that really what your teacher taught you?" his mother asked. "Well, no, Mom. But, if I told it the way the teacher did, you'd never believe it!"

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD:
A Sunday School teacher decided to have her young class memorize one of the most quoted passages in the Bible; Psalm 23. She gave the youngsters a month to learn the verse. Little Rick was excited about the task, but, he just couldn't remember the Psalm. After much practice, he could barely get past the first line.On the day that the kids were scheduled to recite Psalm 23 in front of the congregation, Ricky was so nervous. When it was his turn, he stepped up to the microphone and said proudly, "The Lord is my Shepherd, and that's all I need to know."

UNANSWERED PRAYER?
The preacher's 5 year-old daughter noticed that her father always paused and bowed his head, for a moment, before starting his sermon. One day, she asked him why. "Well, Honey," he began, proud that his daughter was so observant to of his messages, "I'm asking the Lord to help mepreach a good sermon."

"How come He doesn't do it?" she asked.

BEING THANKFUL:
A rabbi said to a precocious six-year-old boy, "So your mother says your prayers for you each night? Very commendable. What does she say?"The little boy replied, "Thank God he's in bed!"

UNTIMELY ANSWERED PRAYER:
During the minister's prayer, one Sunday, there was a loud whistle from one of the back pews. Gary's mother was horrified. She pinched him into silence and, after church, asked, "Gary, whatever made you do such a thing?" Gary answered, soberly, "I asked God to teach me to whistle, and He just then did!"

TIME TO PRAY:
A pastor asked a little boy if he said his prayers every night. "Yes sir,"the boy replied."And, do you always say them in the morning, too?" the pastor asked. "No sir," the boy replied. "I ain't scared in the daytime."

BEWARE OF TRASH:
One particular four-year old prayed, "And forgive us our 'trash baskets' as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets."

ALL MEN / ALL GIRLS?
When my daughter, Kelli, was 3, she and my son, Cody, would say their nightly prayers, together.
As most children do, we have to bless every family member, every friend, and every animal (current and past). For several weeks, after we had finished the nightly prayer, Kelli would
say, "And all girls."As this soon became part of her nightly routine, to include this at the end, my curiosity got the best of me and I asked her,"Kelli, why do you always add the part about all girls?"Her response, "Because we always finish our prayers by saying 'All Me'!"

SAY A PRAYER:
Little Johnny and his family were having Sunday dinner at his Grandmother's house. Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served. When little Johnny received his plate, he started eating right away."Johnny wait until we say our prayer.""I don't have to," The boy replied."Of course, you do," his mother insisted. "We say a prayer, before eating,at our house."
That's our house," Johnny explained. "But this is Grandma's house and she knows how to cook."
