How to Get the Desires of Your Heart!!!

 

 

I don't know about most of you, but I have often wondered why I can't have a more abundant life. Others, Godly and ungodly alike, have much more than I do, but I have finally found the secret to getting everything I want. It is so simple once figured out, that I can't believe I ever missed it. The secret is faith, and learning to operate in it. I hope that I will be able to help you in that area. I could give you the final solution here, but it is so simple that most people would still miss the point it if I don't take some time to develop the principles. So if everyone will bear with me until the end, and keep an open heart, God can use even me to help you get everything you want in life.

Romans 10: 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God

 

It is amazing how often we as Christians can read or hear a verse over and over, but never stop to understand the significance of a particular word in that verse. While I was studying the other day, I started wondering how many times the word faith is used in the Bible. With just a little bit of research, I found that faith was used 250 times. But then I thought that the words belief and trust were very similar in meaning to faith, and with a little more research, I found that there were 455 scriptures that referred to believing and 191 scriptures that referred to trust. I was astonished to realize that since God's Word makes at least 896 references to the concept of faith, then just maybe I was not giving due diligence to understanding what God meant when he said of Abraham,

Genesis 15: 6 And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted to him for righteousness.

 

The first thing and most important thing to define and understand about faith is saving faith. Without being saved, nothing else in this book is going to work, and even if it did, in the final analysis, it wont matter, because you will lose everything. One thousand, One hundred thousand, or a million years from now, nobody is going to care if you were successful in this life or not. What is going to be important is are you in heaven in the loving arms of the Father, or are you in Hell, eternally separated from the love and presence of God. So let us get this point established and rooted before we attempt to go any further. And even if you are still not interested in saving faith and just want to skip to the part where you get the desires of your heart, don't bother, it won't work for you.
